More like they don't truly know what the word "freedom" means. It's just like the anti-PC arguments that conservatives make. "PC is inhibiting my right to free speech!" No it's not. That other guy is just using HIS right to free speech to talk over your right of free speech. Free speech isn't about everyone agreeing with you, and as an extension, freedom isn't about everyone doing what YOU want them to do.

You would think people would have learned this at a rather early age. The whole 'they need to stop, it makes me queasy' argument seems a bit like a spoiled kid who does not want to eat what mommy cooked him because he does not like green food.

There are 7,000,000,000+ people on the planet, the likelihood that you are going to go through life agreeing with all of them is zero point zero.

(I had to get a Stern reference in somewhere)

This exactly. The officer could not hold back his repressed desire to be included, therefore the only resolution was to punish them... Which may lead to other repressed desires. Wow, this guy is messed up. Oh, I know, two of the dolls from his hidden doll house secretly got married without his consent? Sorry, it's Friday and I've consumed too much caffeine.

Happy H-Day all.

People think this stuff only happens in Stereotypical "Bigoted State".. i live in Hollywood (what most consider GLBTQ+ Friendly) and have had my share of Police abuse..

I'm just waiting for the story about the Heterosexual couple that got arrested...

yes, that is correct. Any other questions? I have encouraged decency to a heterosexual couple at water park as well, considering how scantily we are all dressed at such places. there is no need to be grinding and moaning while making out in public in plain view of hundreds of children and the occasional old folk like some softcore porn video. That is why adults have private dwellings to retreat to for their carnal pleasures.

Having hands in each others pants in plain public view of children and the elderly is also very disrespectful and disgusting. The public domain is not peoples personal pornography studios, end of story.

I have not seen any deposition from the officer which states exactly what he saw, so it very well could have been rather gratuitous.

What other questions are there to ask a person who thinks it is acceptable for law enforcement to violently assault people who are not breaking the law because their 'decency' was offended?

I think when the time came and cop cracked you upside the head because you offended someone else's decency you may reassess your views on the subject.

Where in the article cited in the Original Post was this type of behavior mentioned?

Cool!

A Hawaiian vacation turned into a nightmare for L.A. couple Courtney Wilson and Taylor Guerrero after a Honolulu police officer became enraged by their public affection. After being assaulted, arrested, and forced to stay on Oahu, the two women finally got a semblance of justice, with the Honolulu Police Department settling with the women for $80,000. www.advocate.com...

Yup.

And your opinion is that you don't want people showing affection for eachother in front of you and your kids.

And if they don't listen to you, you will punch them in the face.

In front of your kids.

Brilliant.

Kissing is bad, assault is good.

That's the real lesson I would want my kids to learn.
