Interesting...do you remember what the spider you saw looked like?

It's a little difficult to tell the spider type in the OP, but I wonder if the spider you saw do this and the one in the OP are the same species?

It was a common garden spider if I recall correctly.

I've been a following the case of the crack spiders bitch for a while now...

Sadly two years after becoming the crack spiders bitch the crack spider went up on armed robbery charges. This left the crack spiders bitch in a very very bad situation. You see in the two years since they got together the crack spider and his bitch raised thousands of young. When the crack spider got locked up this left the crack spiders bitch with a lot of mouths to feed. Well this led the crack spiders bitch to go into stripping and eventually hooking. Long story short the crack spiders bitch got strung out on heroine and ended up having the kids taken away. Last time I saw the crack spiders bitch she was in a alley with a case of the creepy crawly skin and diving in a dumpster.

I should be able to load the follow up video on the crack spiders bitch in a few weeks lmao..

I just asked a friend of mine who is a Fellow of the British Entomology Society (or something like that)....he said the same thing.......it is in fact quite common, the spider most likely attatched the web to the rock thinking it was on the ground, then when the web was spun, the tensioning hoisted the spiders web up.

Goes to show how strong spiders web can be.
