Oh boy, you'd vote for Trump but not Jesse. Yikes...

Jesse Ventura admits he does whatever he is paid to, just like a politician. At least with Trump no one is buying him.

I think Trump may just win. 'The Last Trump' before the market falls and all hell breaks loose. If Trump can't fix it, i just don't see anyone else who can apart from maybe a 'genie in a bottle', otherwise known as Jinn.

I'll be over there watching with fervor awe and possibly an ounce of shock.

Trump Airlines

In 1988, Trump bought Eastern Air Shuttle, an airline service that ran hourly flights between Boston, NYC and DC for 27 years prior, for $365 million. He turned the airline, once a no frills operation, into a luxury experience, adding maple-wood veneer to the floor and gold-colored bathroom fixtures. The company never turned a profit and the high debt forced him to default on his loans. Ownership of the company was turned over to creditors. It ceased to exist in 1992.

Trump Vodka

Trump unveiled his own vodka line in 2006 paired with the characteristic slogan “Success Distilled.” Advertising for the product claimed that the vodka would “demand the same respect and inspire the same awe as the international legacy and brand of Donald Trump himself.” Trump had high hopes for his liquor brand, predicting that the T&T (Trump and Tonic) would become the most ordered drink in the country and stating on Larry King Live that he got into the vodka business to outdo “his friends” at Grey Goose. The company stopped production in 2011, reportedly due to a lack of interest.

Trump Casinos

Trump Entertainment Resorts, which is composed of three Trump-owned casinos, all in Atlantic City, filed for bankruptcy for the fourth time in 2014. Trump has distanced himself from the company, saying that besides the company having his name, he has “nothing to do with it,” despite the fact that he owned 28% of its stock.

Trump Magazine

Trump launched an eponymous magazine in 2007 that, in a press release announcing the publication’s arrival, was described as “[reflecting] the passions of its affluent readership by tapping into a rich cultural tapestry.” A year and a half after the launch, the magazine ceased publication.

Trump Steaks

Donald Trump was featured on the June 2007 cover of the Sharper Image catalogue hunched over a platter of meat to kick off his line of premium steaks that he dubbed the “world’s greatest.” The company has since been discontinued—maybe it had something to do with the Trump Steakhouse in Las Vegas being closed down in 2012 for 51 health code violations, including serving five-month old duck.

Trump University

In 2005, Trump opened the non-accredited, for-profit Trump University. In 2010, four students sued the university for “offering classes that amounted to extended ‘infomercials.’” Following the suit, the “university” changed its name to “The Trump Entrepreneur Initiative,” before ending operations one year later. In 2013, the New York Attorney General sued Trump and the “university” for $40 million for allegedly defrauding students.

Trump Mortgage

In 2006, Trump forayed further into the real estate industry, launching a mortgage company. The Donald had high hopes for the company, asking CNBC, “Who knows more about financing than me?” Trump Mortgage shut down within a year and a half, in part because Trump selected E.J. Ridings, a man who claimed to be a top executive at a prestigious investment bank but had actually only worked on Wall Street as a registered broker for six days, to run the company.

And despite all those failures---he's now a rich guy.
Some would say he did through skulduggery, some would say through craft and intelligence.
But he kept at it. He knows what it's like to stand with hat in hand before a judge and admit to having failed.
I have no idea if he has the leadership skills to bring enough people together to get things done if elected.
I do know that Jesse was effective in that leadership role when he was governor. Being an independent would advantageous because he could touch those third rails of politics and get cooperation (or demonization) from both parties.
I'm just enjoying the show.

a reply to: EequalsMC2 The last thing we need is another Bush, Clinton, or Manchurian CIA candidate.
Ventura is a patriot. He has great record as governor. He is a rare breed to go into office not so rich and come out of politics not so rich. He doesn't run drugs, guns, or engage in financial fraud. He has an American birth certificate.
Jesse is an honest guy and his heart is in the right place.
Have you checked the severed head suicides on the Bush/Clinton dead body lists?
As for Trump, he sucks, but he isn't one of "them."

I like Jesse Ventura, I really do. In fact, I wouldn't mind seeing him debate in the primaries to see what his official platform would be but I would lose virtually all respect for him if he ran with Trump.
a reply to: Cuervo

That's exactly how I feel. He would be going against his principals and align himself with the very corporate influence he's spoke out against.

Trump will have a hard time finding a running mate because I don't think any intelligent potential candidates would want to align themselves with a big mouth unqualified blowhard. Who ever does run with him will be doing it for their own self-serving reasons, and not because they subscribe to Trumps ridiculous plans on the issues. He's already insulted pretty much every candidate he's running against.

Trump Ventura is a winning ticket.

God help us all , you more especially but the Fallout from a Trump / Ventura presidency would be global.

Thankfully it won't happen , you will be stuck with the same old same old once again , it is the way of things.

I wouldn't vote for either of them, buuuuuuuut ...

Am ashamed to say I think Trump is probably more savvy to Americans than Ventura is. Ventura has been a great entertainer and I suspect probably is genuinely the nicer person, but has said just enough in the public sphere that opponents will be all over it.

I'll go wash myself with sand paper now.

And that's trumps only saving grace. He's so rich no one can buy him but that doesn't mean he can lead a country.

Minnesota doesn't even like JV. Fun for a while though. He has an ego but doesn't actually do anything now, gimmicky. Like WWF or whatever it was. Fake.

Trump goes "unscripted" and we get posts that aren't even posted or made by the guy. Lol. Good chemistry.

Hat in hand?
The guy was born into wealth in the Mecca of Capitalism.
He can't fail. Others, including taxpayers, will prop him up until he recovers his losses.
The wealthy are a class to themselves and are held to a different standard. If Joe Sixpack can't pay off a stupid purchase, he's seen as an idiot. Abe's post pointed out several indulgences of the Donald...I prefer the humble guy who got into a bad loan for a Dodge Ram pickup down the street. Would trust him more for president as well.

As for the Jesse thing, the Parkinson's will keep him from office.

Trump Ventura is a winning ticket.

Yeah...for a circus maybe...or a pay per view event...not a pair to run the country.

Do you think the CIA and the Rockefeller goons would assassinate Trump with Jesse Ventura in the line of succession?

No...I don't.

Stick a fork in it. It's done.

If you're referring to the US....then I think we're in agreement...any country that would seriously contemplate Donald Trump as the POTUS....has lost it's collective mind.

Trump Ventura it can't lose.

Sure it can.

Don't worry trumps gonna loose, he is just tearing apart what's left of the Conservative party, I'm almost sure 8 years from now the conversative will resemble today's democrat everything is moving further left. With that, Hillary is going to win. The truth is it doesn't matter who wins and hasn't mattered for the longest time, though it is humorous that trump is ahead at all and a true mockery of the conservatives and the voters.

Since Jesse Ventura is an active ATS member maybe you or someone should U2U him about this thread. Talking about members behind their back will soon get you their front (slowly I turn, step by step....) .

As for the topic, wouldn't that be a heck of a show.
