Who's the communist again?

Well, if you need to ask that question, no amount of careful explanation will make you see.

In fairness, I did use it as an insult whereas many do not consider it such.

So no answer then.

More baseless dishonest rhetoric.

I was hoping for a different answer this time.

What were you hoping for, me to explain to you that communism is socialism as is national socialism?

But, you know that already.

So what then?

Only in your mind. Even the common definitions available in any basic dictionary disagree with you.

Those are facts, however, and I know you thrive on innuendo and baseless generalities.

Who is the communist you're referring to? Why are you being so coy? Isn't it an easy answer?

You must have had someone in mind, didn't you?

There is a nearly endless thread on this topic right now, I didn't notice you bringing any evidence to back your claims that the totalitarian ideology which you espouse isn't identical in concept (though thankfully not quite in implementation as yet) to that of Stalin and Hitler.

You resorted to name calling of accusing me of lying.

Read the damn dictionary yourself past the first paragraph if you refuse to read the relevant literature in its entirety as you ought to.

I don't espouse a "totalitarian ideology." Please stop with the dishonesty.

Stating that you're not telling the truth is not "name calling," but I'm sorry if the truth offended you.

You seem to believe that because those three descriptions of political/economic systems (socialism, communism and [LOL] National Socialism) all have "ISM" in their their names that they are the same thing.

School children know the difference.

Who is the communist you referred to? Don't you stand behind what you post?

So, is this thread about Jesse Ventura and Trump? Or a rag on Bernie Sanders and the difference between socialism, communism and democratic socialism (which is EASY to determine by use of the internet) ?

I think you do. That is my opinion.

Note that I haven't called you a liar.

The "communist" I was referring to is Bernie Sanders, your guy.

You know, the socialist.

I'll leave the "school children" comment alone for people to draw their own conclusions.

No kidding, it truly boggles the mind.

He's made it clear that he's a democratic socialist, which, like it or not, is not the same as a socialist, communist, etc.

You're right! Why should anyone point out your dishonesty simply because you misrepresent the truth!

So, by again calling me a liar, you force to retaliate and name you by your self-demonstrated characteristic, an uneducated fool.

I didn't call you a liar, but you did call me a fool. You really don't see the difference? LOL.

Anyway, continue your off-topic whine on your own. Thanks for finally answering my question about your inappropriate comment about "the communist."

I was talking about YOU. You are the one who turned the discussion toward Bernie, the "communist" and you don't seem to know the difference between the '-isms'.

And now, I will bow out of this thread, as it has clearly become personal, and not about the original topic at all.

Communism is socialism.

Get over it.

He didn't say he wanted to be with Trump, he said if Trump or Bernie asked him, he would consider it because they both are interested in breaking up the status quo. And I agree with him. This country needs drastic CHANGE

There's that C word again.

How many times have we heard that word on the campaign trail?

it's either 'it's time for a change' or 'we need a change' and that's been the 64 thousand dollar word in every campaign that I have ever seen. The only change any politician offers is a change of leadership, nothing more.

Mr. Ventura is certainly a vibrant personality.

However, he also seems to have the capacity for original thought, as well as a dislike of kow-towing to authority.

Not sure he'd work well with Mr. Trump at all.

In fact, I'm not sure who Trump would work with well, really.

They'd probably do better as independents, and if that happened the next debate would have me reaching for the popcorn.

Can't say that I support or have faith in any politicians but I do believe a trump/Ventura ticket would take politics to a level of entertainment we have never seen before
I stand by my statement though you get a Bush or Clinton delivered to you so pick your poison

President Washington counselled us to avoid two things: political parties and extremist regionalism.

We should have listened; what a different country this would be if everyone serving in government saw it as "service" rather than a chance to amass power, influence and of course, money.

I don't know so much about any polar shifts that Jesse Ventura may or may not had ("Didn't he just support Sanders?").

But, here's the deal.

I am sick and g***amned f&(*(*ing tired of the status quo. I personally feel that the system is corrupt to the core. The "two party system"...but, hey...ANYONE can become president...is BS. You can ONLY become president if you bathe in red or blue.

I am open for ANY change. Even if it turns out to be massively bad...it's a change. Change is change. And it tends to spur further change. Given our current condition and vector...YES, I am willing to risk it.

Now, many of you now are saying "Oh, he won't be saying that when it gets as bad as it gets!". You are quite wrong. I have ZERO faith in anyone else, as they have proven time and time again to have already be as well used as the town bicycle.

Change, is change. I WANT change. I CRAVE it. This situation we are living in, IS NOT WHAT WE WERE PROMISED.

Trump has my vote because of Jesse.

Period.

Exactly, if you just let people help themselves, there would be no legal way to subjugate them.

The hell with that, ban private charities and flay individual do-gooders as they make totalitarianism unjustifiable.
