Praying for a non-violent Spiritual Armageddon

At times I find myself angry at my brothers who are causing such turmoil in the world. My anger is expressed in part 1. www.abovetopsecret.com...

Part 2 of my playlist are songs of Love, Unification and Peace. This post is a prayer for peace in honor of Ramadan.

I pray that the world's leaders would repent for the chaos that Information Suppression, Elitism, and Totalitarianism have caused. And that they might return to the democratic form of government our enlightened forefathers established.

I know many are predicting Doom, but my faith in God screams, WE HAVE FREEWILL, and we have the power to use our freewill to change our minds and directions. My faith in God leads me to believe that anyone can repent and be changed in one moment.

It is because of this I am inspired to hope for a better future, one absent WW3. These songs represent a prayer from me to all of those who are in charge and have the power to make a difference. God willing may this prayer reach those who can effect change.

1. Closer to the Heart - Rush

And the men who hold high places
Must be the ones who start
To mold a new reality
Closer to the heart

2. Team - Lorde

I'm kind of over getting told to throw my hands up in the air, So there...
Living in ruins of a palace within my dreams
And you know, we're on each other's team

3. Castle of Glass - Linkin Park

Bring me home in a blinding dream,
Through the secrets that I have seen
Wash the sorrow from off my skin
And show me how to be whole again
Cause I'm only a crack in this castle of glass
Hardly anything there for you to see

4. Love alone is worth the Fight - Switchfoot

We're only here for a season
I'm looking for the rhyme and reason
Why you're born, why you're leaving What you fear and what you believe in
Why you're living and breathing
Why you're fighting it and getting it even

Let's go headed down the open road unknown
And we find what we're made of
Through the open door
Is it fear you're afraid of?
What are you waiting for?

Love alone is worth the fight

5. Love without End, Amen - George Straight

Last night I dreamed I died and stood outside those pearly gates.
When suddenly I realized there must be some mistake.
If they know half the things I've done, they'll never let me in.

And then somewhere from the other side I heard these words again.
"Let me tell you a secret about a father's love,
A secret that my daddy said was just between us."
He said, "Daddies don't just love their children every now and then.
It's a love without end, amen, it's a love without end, amen."

6. Paint the night with stars - Enya

Only night will ever know
Why the heavens never show
All the dreams there are to know
Paint the sky with stars

Who has placed the midnight sky
So a spirit has to fly?
As the heavens seem so far now,
Who will paint the midnight star?

Night has brought to those who sleep
Only dreams they cannot keep
I have legends in the deep
Paint the sky with stars

Who has placed the midnight sky
So a spirit has to fly?
As the heavens seem so far now,
Who will paint the midnight star?

Place a name upon the night
One to set your heart alight
And to make the darkness bright
Paint the sky with stars.

7. Multiplied - NEEDTOBREATHE

Your love is like radiant diamonds
Bursting inside us we cannot contain
Your love will surely come find us
Like blazing wild fires singing Your name

God of mercy sweet love of mine
I have surrendered to Your design
May this offering stretch across the skies
And these Hallelujahs be multiplied

I could proclaim myself a Spiritual Existentialist and claim superiority because of my faith in God, and the scriptures would not call me a liar. However it was my mother who told me that I would find God through prayer. I owe my journey to her. So I would prefer to proclaim myself a humble product of my environment.

May God's will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven. - Amen

If anyone has personal favorites please share. I am especially interested in lesser known or independent bands. All genre are appreciated.
