I did a search and someone asked this in 2007. I guess it's ok to ask again

As I said not in a morbid way but if you got to decide that one or two word sentance on that slab of granite or memorial bench what would it be?

I have thought about this for years and decided some time ago that I would choose(Ignore the the here lies bit)

"He was a bit of a loon but he was OUR loon"

Most people I have discussed this with agree that it pretty much sums it up.

Here lies a guy who actually thought he was a bunny.

So we skinned him and ate him.

Are you wanting that to be in full?

"Nothing fancy just ... Nice Bloke."

I think that reads better.

No epitaph for me because there would be no such thing. I do not think anyone should be so selfish to take up space with coffins and tombstones to commemorate a "fake" construct such as a supposed death. Waste of space unnecessarily. However, on such a day that I do ascend to my next destination there would be a desire on my part to have a few kind words spoken and whatever ashes of me to be scattered in the ocean, while a song is played for all to hear loud and clear.

These words would be what I hope will be said:

Everything you did in this life had meaning and your spirit and love will always be cherished, may you continue on that great journey and find the joy you deserve for all your suffering here!

And the song:

I like that one.

You could also go with

"Oops!"

So will be needing a pretty big tombstone with a tablet and solar panels then?

I will take your honest and last statment as you epitaph then?

"Everything you did in this life had meaning and your spirit and love will always be cherished, may you continue on that great journey and find the joy you deserve for all your suffering here!"

I actually derived my username from my intended epitaph. I decided several years ago that I wanted written on my tombstone.

'My Name'
1968 - 20??
****
'Humans Eh!'

I would love it if you popped in smaller text

"neither did we"

Not because I do not like you, just humour and all.

Strong words. In a cynical world I would be tempted to google you and see if you lived up to that kind of statement
