hand son with them(ALLEGEDLY) could tell you the airforce has faster than hypersonic craft already, but if they revealed them out right at this tim there would be serious problems, such as nukes a flying when the other countries see how out classed they truly are.

Uh, how exactly would that work?

Comrade-President Putin, the Americans have hypersonic anti-gravity air force, and antimatter beam weaponry!

Da, we must attack them!

Comrade? Is there something in your vodka?

Well, we knew technology was heading in this direction.

Lets hope they have watched the movie "Stealth" and "Terminator" first, before they make too many "Human" decisions.

REPLY TO Forensick

Actually to keep people employed and money flowing into the black projects is the reason why. There are credible witnesses to the Black dorito here and others as well. We do have such vehicles make no mistake. As for it not making sense? Welcome to Government research and procurement. They dotn do common sense..they do it by regulations.

Unmanned combat aircraft aren't 'flown' by humans in a traditional sense. They are given instructions from A to B and they fly there using sensor information and data from the controller.

In a combat situation an unmanned fighter, especially 6th gen, would be far more capable of combat than any human pilot. Not only is there significant lag from a control input being bounced around the globe, but no human brain could process the amount of data in real-time that the platform is capable of receiving.

If anything I think these aircraft will serve as armed deterrents/escorts/strike platforms more than dogfighters anyway. We haven't really faced any capable air-to-air threat since the F-15 began service (in my humble opinion).

True to a point as a computer wont black or white out due to extreme maneuvers but it will lack instinct, insight and imagination that is also vital to being a competent fighter pilot.
