I was interested in seeing which color format do you use when browsing the turbulent seas of ATS? I prefer the grey theme, even after the updates I have grown accustom to this new format. The white background with the different avatars hurts my eyes for some odd reason, but the grey format seems to balance out even the wackiest of avatars. I did a search on this topic, and I found an old post by SkepticOverlord where he asked "Dark Meat, or Light Meat, and posted some pics of some old ATS formats. It's crazy to see what the board looks like now.

www.abovetopsecret.com...

So, in spirit of that thread, which do you prefer today? Dark Meat, or Light Meat

Dark meat. Always. I wish every website had the option of using a dark theme.

What better background for conspiracy than the grey area?

Dark theme.

I was there before the site appearance changed in 2013. I still miss the old design - it was IMO far more professional-looking and pleasant to the eyes. And it was dark-themed. So now I keep it on the dark theme.

I'm partial to the Dark Theme when using my laptop and the Light Theme when I'm on my larger desktop.

I find that higher resolution screens display ATS in the Light Theme better then the Dark one does.

But I spend most of my time on the Dark side since I use my laptop mostly.

ETA: May the 4th be with you....

Dark. The lighter one seems bright and harsh to me. The dark one seems calm and cool.

Dark theme. Kind of fitting, methinks.

Dark. I can't stand the white theme.

It is softer on the vision, too. The last thing you want at 5 in the morning is a bright white light blinding your sleepy eyes.

I go dark all the way!!!!

It seems to be less harsh and maybe even soothing.

I prefer dark because its eye friendly, but when browsing somewhere I shouldn't like at Work/School the light colored theme acts as camouflage

The dark theme will save your eyesight in the long run more.

I use dark. White damn near blinds me. I'm just glad that it's not puke green or florescent orange.

Dark theme forever. It's possible to make the dark theme (and white theme) even better by installing my greasemonkey script: ATS 5.3 Tweaks. It will do things such as fill in space between posts, replace new smilies with old ones, fix the odd looking footer on the dark theme, and multiple other small template tweaks.

Probably not. SkepticOverlord prefers the light theme. He said try the light theme for a day and you'll never go back (or something to that effect). I lasted about 4 minutes.
