The Islamic State group has threatened to punish anyone caught selling, buying or wearing Nike products because the company's name is deemed sinful.

www.ibtimes.com...

WHO MAKES UP THESE RULES????????

It’s the latest sanction issued by the Islamist extremist group. Earlier this month, ISIS banned men from wearing skinny jeans in Raqqa, its de facto capital and stronghold in Syria.

Who knew ISIS would turn its terrible rampage on the helpless fashion world! Is it just me or are they just anti- everything?

Evidently they've never heard of the Greek Goddess. Her name was Nike and was the goddess of victory in both war and athletics, which is why the shoe company appropriated the name.

Nike

ETA: Come to think of it, even if they had I'm sure it would still be banned. They're being intolerant of other religions and all.

They likely have heard of the Greek Goddess but, being she was female, she doesn't stand for anything to them. The consider camels more important than women.

Funny how they pick and choose which things that are bad they can live with, like murdering people, using kids and women as human shields, cutting people's heads off, etc.. But saying or buying Nike products is out because gosh, that is giving them some embarrassment..
What a bunch of socially retarded people they truly are.

Pretty funny really and its pretty common. There is a brand of jeans here called Mavi, which in swahilli means sh!t... now that's a great marketing move.

See? That was my first thought. I figured they'd ban it because it promoted a pagan religion.

Can someone change the title please ?

what does ISIS has to do with "Islamism" ? Actually banning Nike is one of the most progressive decisions they've taken so far !! in comparison to taking people's hearts out , beheading them or throwing them off the cliff .

Can i attribute WW1 and WW2 to christianity ? no .

what about these hatred terrorist attacks made by self-proclaimed "christians" ?

www.alternet.org...

en.wikipedia.org...

en.wikipedia.org...

the answer is again , no .
