This came up on my Facebook feed. Two 20 year olds in Australia saw a need and rose to the occasion. They realized that clean clothes are a barrier to the homeless being presentable for job interviews and such.

They set up a van with a washer, dryer and a generator to run them, creating a mobile laundry unit for the homeless. They operate on donations and it's my hope they can get enough to continue.

Great idea, guys and best of luck to you.

For some reason, the link is not becoming clickable. Maybe the title is too long. Just copy and paste the url into your browser.

Edit the last [/url], you have a space between R and L.

Great OP, these guys should be an example to all!

Edit - see what you mean, the "install link" seems to be broke!

Fantastic idea!

If I had a little time and money it's something I'd like to do in my area. Maybe down the line or maybe someone else will pick it up and run with it.

Thanks.

Thing is, one good day of panhandling, and you could pretty much buy clean clothes from Goodwill, etc., so anyone using this as an excuse, is just stalling. Also can use public restrooms to clean up pretty well, and plenty of HBA items available at Dollar Tree for $1 each.

That said though, is a good thing they are doing, I'll still applaud that.
