Honestly, I've never felt so bad for anyone as I did (& still do) for this guy...

Can't even imagine how he must have felt...
Don't like thinking about it too much either...

But the responses here have really cheered me up... Everyone of you!

The compassion on ATS astounds me when it really comes down to it...

You are all indeed beautiful!!!

I would be remiss if I didn't congratulate you and the misses on your newly... mutually agreed nuptials!

I saw this a few minutes ago and it sickened me, for all the reasons you mentioned. And it restored (some of) my faith in humanity when I read that he is getting he last laugh.

You've a beautiful heart, CharlieSpeirs. Just beautiful.

I love the justice that seems to be served with this story. However, the shamers will probably learn nothing about how to treat other humans and continue their BS ways.

Not to rain on anybodies parade, as I too feel happiness stemming from the outcome, however think about how many times this happens every day, every hour with nobody caring or going this out of their way to make them feel better. That makes me sad all over again.

Those damned people should be put to shame for making another human being feel like that! No one should ever be meant to feel less than another for dancing. I don't care what size he is!

People are very cruel. I've got to admit though, after reading comments here, I'm proud to be a part of this forum. There is hope for us yet. LOVE to ALL

I am with you I wouldn't make fun of this man

But someone still needs to remind severely obese people to start doing something about it

I am fat guy too

I am not that fat but the point is, we fat people are in denial

It is not ok to be severely obese, forget the looks or women or sex, we are walking heart bombs

And I myself am preparing a weight loss and keep it off plan

I just gotta deal with that last rotisserie chicken

Why do they make it so good and only cost 8 dollars

8 freaking dollars for the whole chicken

They were really lucky I wasn`t there, it would have given him a seat to sit on after I was done with them.

Awesome to see the action being done to make him happy again !

I'm with you, Charlie! Every time I see this I want to cry, because as much fun as his celebrity filled dance party will be, he will never forget the humiliation he experienced in that moment.

The only thing to be done is to try to spread kindness and joy in the world to counteract such acts of cruelty and unkindness.

Hey buddy, good luck on your quest. I found a few things helped me lose my last 35 lbs. First I stopped eating road breakfast..which basically consisted of horrid fast food breakfast sandwiches. Then I took a weight loss/blood sugar normalizing protein (sprouted grains, 98% BV) as a breakfast replacing shake. I supplemented with Brown Seaweed extract 3x/day and found at 5 weeks (1 week earlier then human studies indicated)I had lost nearly 2 inches from my beer bloated waist.

Now I must admit, giving up beer was the best diet I ever embarked on, but it was also the hardest...so in the mean time, no matter what your "thing" is...try the above.

Way to go Charlie

You mentioned that these people probably perceive them selves a "nice".

It has been my modest and unscientific observation that most people who refer to them selves a "nice" are just saying " I never get caught being a jerk" or they package their obscene behaviour in fake smiles, superficial happiness or worst of all pathetic exposure of suffering.
It always makes me nervous when a people refer to them selves as nice.
"I'm a nice person, you must have misunderstood my intention when I kicked you" Instead of takeing responsibilty for their actions they blame you for being "sensitive" and falsely accusing them.

I can imagine the response to the gentlemans obvious sorrow. "OH, come on we were just haveing fun, don't be such a party pooper"

Thanks for bringing this up, you have a heart.
