Good news for once... i read a story about a Mr Huzar VS Jet2 courtcase where it was ruled that technical faults ect were not extaordinary circumstances and airlines should pay out for delays!

I was delayed a number of years ago for 12 hours so I put my claim in and hey presto £640.

The amount due is calculated by time (delayed) and distance (flight).

Theres a certain money expert forum where a draft letter is available where you just add your details and email a complaint containing the letter to the company. Job done

I used to hate delays... I actually profited by going on a trip.

Congratulations. I wish I could remember when some of my flights were- I have been delayed loads of times including a 5 hour delay to the Maldives.
