Spending time
as if it has value
how much is it worth,
these seconds,
minutes,
hours,
days,
years,
decades,
centuries?

What will you pay me for my time?
How much should I pay you?
Should we barter?
What's negotiable?

Are we wasting time?
Can we really make up time?
When is it time?
Time to get started,
time to call it quits.

What is a time out?
Where does it go?
Time flies?
Time drags on?

Does time really heal all wounds?
Time will tell.
Time is on our side.
Time will judge the fool.

Time to take a stand,
time to retreat,
time to fight,
time to surrender.

Time to plant
Time to harvest
Time to build
and time to tear down.

Time to be born
and a time to die.

Time to think
time to consider,
time to choose,
time to win,
and time to lose.

Does time really run out?

Thanks Nat! I just can't stop writing nor do I want to. Since I retired 5 years ago I have been engrossed in a myriad of creative endeavors from wood carving to jewelry making but it is writing where I have the most emotional involvement. I know you can relate about writing. We really don't have the option of not writing. I hope you are doing well and enjoying this thing we call life. I look forward to your contributions so don't make me wait to long until your next one.

Peace.

That's awesome

I was recently given a box that has all sorts of things in it to make jewelry.. I really need to start doing it!! I always end up on Internet looking one thing up after the next!!

I find it very therapeutic. I like to give jewelry to people that might be struggling in life. I try to find something that will have special meaning to them and create the piece around it. I find the more I think about others the less time I spend feeling bad about my situation.

Time is a creation that will one day be done away with.

I agree. It is a construct that alludes our current understanding. The Bible speaks of a future time when time itself will cease to exist and eternity will take its place. On a daily basis, the seemingly immovable past gives way to the unlimited future.
