Ummm...please enjoy this example of my work...I thank you in advance for any consideration...

Fill the void

I draw the breath that God alone once breathed
Intoxicated on that righteous air
Constricting vanities that often seethed
A maelstrom that would flense a bleak dispair

I slake my thirst before the mirrors face
Entropy's own reflected fey facade
Which altruistic falls in timid place
A nakedness...whose feet are never shod

I fill the void where hunger once held reign
In chronic self absorption to the core
Loose this malnutrition I would feign
That nothing...never ask for anymore

I father wry perceptions only dream
Bereaved...yet not bereft this feeling born
Whose character unthreads the bellies seam
Shucked...so like the habits I have shorn

Ummm...I'm glad you liked it SyxPak...I wrote this while considering the essence of what lies at the core of emptying self of preconception and filling self with perhaps a more pure sense of perspective...

Obviously...the line "I slake my thirst before the mirrors face"...is a study in self...a look into the unique ingredient list that makes us individual...and how it pertains to what we have allowed our personalities to be constituted from...

It's strange to think sometimes...what we find comfort in...and how much of a detriment to growth or enlightenment such things might become...
