Because it gives the US the power to grab a countries balls and squeeze. We make or break nations because we can. This isn't the America I grew up in anymore, Dorthy.

America is producing almost as much oil as saudi arabia.

Going to war for petrodollars really isn't a good pretext for going to war anymore.

You seem surprised that the U.S. government would send their own populace off to war; in reality more people died in the the wars of the 20th Century alone than died in all the plagues of mankind, down through the ages including the Black Plague and the Spanish Flu.

There's an old truism; the Universe is comprised of a LOT of space, and a little dirty hydrogen...

In the same way, governments are comprised of a LOT of killing and a few good works to keep up appearances and keep the flag-waving going.

I wasnt talking about the war itself, but about the fact that some people, including Americans, suspect the government of having carried out false flag attacks where American lives have been written off, the cole, the first WTC attack the second WTC attack, in order to kick off wars to preserve and enchance the petrodollar, which currently generates a windfall for America in excess of 2.250.000.000.000 in foreign currency annually or 2000 billion (wrote it out because a billion isnt the same in American English and English) if we assume an average price of 90 Dollars per barrel per day and a consumption of 20% by the US itself, whom of course does not receive foreign currency for those 20 percent.

The petrodollar isnt about selling oil for cash, but about enforcing that all oil wherever it comes from is traded in dollar only, therefore forcing whomever wants to acquire oil to acquire Dollars first, and therefore creating an demand for dollar that isnt created by incentives (Dollar backed by Gold at a fixed rate the way it was pre Nixon under the gold standard) but by bullying basically.

Unless you are heading for 60 it is the America you grew up in, granted up until the 1990s the Petrodollar was seen as the superweapon against the communist block (and it worked, very well and not only by forcing the soviets hand which kicked off their Afghanistan war) .

Well it's the us I think that they should really just give up the petrodollar and start on a better page.
