It really doesn't matter who has charge. It's beginning more and more to look like the media politicians serve the deep state geo political / military agenda.

1. Bush: activate the deep state, warrantless wiretapping, indefinite detention, surveillance, homeland security.

2. Obama: integration of culture and globilization,
warrantless wiretapping, indefinite detention, surveillance, homeland security.

Katrina was a natural disaster so the rest of your whole post gets tossed out into the wastebin.

Obama has done everything anti American a president could possibly do, so don't cry when the GOP does get in by a landslide.

I guess nobody noticed the crash in 2007-2008 pretty much right as the Democrats took control of the Senate in 2006.....your theory doesn't really pan out, notice that QE comes to an end just now as the R's are about to take power in the Senate...kind of convenient for the Democrats, wouldn't you think? Economic slide just as their rivals take charge....evil austerity republicans did this to you...blah blah. Sure. Forget about Krugman and the Fed...the republicans did it to you. Sure. This depression has been run by a democrat senate, the crash was under their control, they just want more power, same with all this scaring about natural events such as Katrina being caused by R's....the world's coming to an end global warming caused by R's and koch bros....every hurricane maybe the fault of a political party as if c02 emissions directly caused every natural disaster....these are fantasies.

Exactly, policies do not stop when the opposite party takes over, they just keep perpetuating the old policies while adding more in the way to the next political party to take over.

What if the so-called "Religious Right" gets master control of Congress?

The problem there is that people don;t take the time or energy to vote in the primaries. So you get what you get.

Religious rights do not need to take over congress, as long as they have a fat wallet to fill the pockets of the whore politicians.

Over half of America is on welfare and these people are not going to cut their nose to spite their face by voting Republican,Bush Jnr was the last Republican president you'll see in a long time

Still from the beginning we get what we get, dumb or dumber, still even in the primaries, if you don't belong to the club as a career politicians you will never make it.

The notion that the left or the right in the USA are going usher in some kind of version of an anti-christ, or that the left or the right in the USA will be the cause of the end of the world, well that's just silly IMHO. Comeon folks, stop hugging on your favorite right wing politician or left wing politician. They all serve the same master. That being they serve themselves.

LOL. Thanks for posting that Buster. I think Glenn's idea is that you can now admit to being wrong on your Israeli position! LOL.

Glenn thinks he has the standing and clout to pull this off. He has simply become another talking head fully morphed now. He has always been a ratings grabber under the truth banner. A closet liberal. And he is rather stupid to boot as he fails to understand that the whole anti-nation building thing has nothing to do with how hard it is to get say Muslim sects to hold hands or how much it costs. That's really not what the anti-nation building flow is about.

Notice the same that say Iraq was better off under a strong man said with the same mouth that we shouldn't play to hard over there after the war. Where we really failed was not conducting post war affairs like we did in Germany and Japan after WWII. That is whats clear now to anyone with a broader historical perspective which Glenn for all his flapping does not have.

And wow do you hear anyone complaining about China building? Letting them use our economy to pull themselves up which may certainly blow up in our faces one day? Looks like China has big copper mines in Afghanistan hauling it back through the Khyber Pass by the truck loads. You wont here Glenn complaining about aid to Israle as well.

Historically Republicans have never done much of anything to attack government aid to citizens. welfare ect or even corporate welfare......their baby. Not really. They stir the pot up to address partisan discontent but thats about it. Maybe trim some really fat stuff off the meat but even Clinton did that.
