It's not just the UK that is being affected. It is all over from what I see. While living in Germany during the eighties and nineties, and visiting Europe often since then, I've noticed more and more English being used during their radio programs over time.

Back in the early nineties, we had a group of Brits come over to inspect our manufacturing plant after some expensive upgrades. One of our managers was a member of a local dance club called The Shaggers. Nine Brits rolling in the floor laughing is awesome - and dammit my cell phone back then didn't have a camera.

It's not our fault you english people cant speak English.

Bonnet. Hood

Fag... smokes

Chips... fries

A Bonnet is indeed a kind of hood, but one that is worn on a lady's head.

You Guys don't speak English anyway, you speak American English which is why you are so poor at it. You can't even spell Neighbour or Colour like a grown up

You could have got your own back if one of them had asked to be knocked up in the morning.

All I have to say is this one time, I was at a karaoke bar in my neighborhood and a man who looked exactly like Santa sat on a stool and sang this song. It was one of the saddest moments of my life.
