James Conway got the shock of his life after visiting a prison in Norway. Retired US superintendent saw the inmates had a large TV and dartboard.
There was a recording studio and the kitchen had real knives and forks.
As we all know America has one of the highest prison populations in the world. With over 2 million people behind bars. Owning a prison in America is
a pretty lucrative business. Especially when the Federal Government (American tax payers) are picking up the tab. Just in Arizona there are several
for profit prisons. Owned by privately by people who are stock holders. Including judges, lawyers, politicians, and they all make more money the
more people they put behind there bars.
We all know how violent American prisons can be as well. Murder and rape are a daily occurrence in American prisons. But why???
Our Government would never even consider giving prisoners the luxuries and potential weapons these Norwegians are giving them.
What makes them so different??
Maybe people from Norway are not as violent as Americans?? Different culture?? Not as much division through race??
Maybe its because there is not a huge demand for drugs/contraband to promote a healthy black market and the gangs to run it like in American
prisons???
