Alert: Patriot Act 2 on Verge of Passing Says Ron Paul

<<  1    2    3  >>

Topic started on 8-12-2004 @ 05:46 PM by TrueAmerican

www.prisonplanet.com...

At approximately 3:30pm today, Ron Paul's press secretary Jeff Deist called Alex Jones to warn him that the legislation that encompasses the national ID card and Patriot Act 2 provisions was on the verge of passing the House tonight.

Deist stated that the bill and what it means for America could be described in a word as 'tyranny'.

Deist's tone was the most concerned that Alex had ever known in his years of communication with Ron Paul's office. Alex made it clear how upset Desit was and that the situation reminded him of a 'war room atmosphere'. Deist and Ron Paul are desperate to mobilize the alternative media before the bill reaches the Senate tomorrow.

This appears to be exclusive, from prisonplanet.

Well it seems to me that, this is what "most" of the American people wanted when they voted for Mr. Bush re-election, and occurs the rest of us that sees the true agenda of this president just have to suck it up with them.

I wonder how many in the congress agree with all this actions against our civil liberties and how many will object on.

Did the congress lost its powers already?

With them stating is on verge of passing the House, maybe at least this time, the House will READ IT before they pass it.

Actually I though that we are not suppoused to be informe on this, and that the senate is not suppoused to read it either, just to approved it.

I may be mistaken.

Tyranny? good.

I DO hope it is. Those of you here who shout your love for this administration shouldnt have any problems with this either and i cant wait to read the reasoning and the excuses of the why's and how's.

How do you like it now?

I'm glad i can see the truth. Shame on those whose ignorance wont allow it.

dgt, very soon we won't be reading anything, anywhere, unless it is what they WANT you to read. Internet? Bye Bye. I give them all of a year to issue a directive to shut it down, and implement Internet 2, completely under their control. Free speech? A thing of the past. ATS?

Hey we can always run the underground ATS and internet, who knows that is how the countries are won back, when people don't let freedom die.

From your link TA:

The bill is S 2845 or 'intelligence reform' and the sub-section with the national ID card provisions is 7212.

The bill that prison planet identifies is the National Intelligence Director bill and not the Patriot Act II which is identified as the Domestic Security Enhancement Act of 2003. And I think the National Intelligence Bill was passed yesterday after some serious negotiations with republicans who were against certain military provisions.

The second thing is S2845 is a senate bill and not a house bill.

And finally - there is no section 7212 in S2845.

I checked the Congressional website and the Patriot Act II is not even out of committe let alone ready for a vote.

What would help is for all of you to contact your congressmen and let them know that you will remember who voted to take away our rights next elections.

Believe it or not if enough of you do it can make a difference

Amuk, the elections for congress probably fixed also.

Nice thought, though.

bleys, it is a secretive bill, according to what prisonplanet's website is saying:

www.infowars.com...

It is important to note that no member of Congress was
allowed to see the first Patriot Act before its
passage, and that no debate was tolerated by the House
and Senate leadership. The intentions of the White
House and Speaker Hastert concerning Patriot Act II
appear to be a carbon copy replay of the events that
led to the unprecedented passage of the first Patriot
Act.

There are two glaring areas that need to be looked at
concerning this new legislation:

1. The secretive tactics being used by the White House
and Speaker Hastert to keep even the existence of this
legislation secret would be more at home in Communist
China than in the United States. The fact that Dick
Cheney publicly managed the steamroller passage of the
first Patriot Act, insuring that no one was allowed to
read it and publicly threatening members of Congress
that if they didn?t vote in favor of it that they
would be blamed for the next terrorist attack, is by
the White House?' own definition terrorism. The move
to clandestinely craft and then bully passage of any
legislation by the Executive Branch is clearly an
impeachable offence.

2. The second Patriot Act is a mirror image of powers
that Julius Caesar and Adolf Hitler gave themselves.
Whereas the First Patriot Act only gutted the First,
Third, Fourth and Fifth Amendments, and seriously
damaged the Seventh and the Tenth, the Second Patriot
Act reorganizes the entire Federal government as well
as many areas of state government under the
dictatorial control of the Justice Department, the
Office of Homeland Security and the FEMA NORTHCOM
military command. The Domestic Security Enhancement
Act 2003, also known as the Second Patriot Act is by
its very structure the definition of dictatorship.

Read the link, there is plenty more.

Patriot Act II is not a secretive bill - it was leaked to the press quite awhile ago. It is a very frightening and aimed to limit civil liberties. If you are going to contact your Congressman it should be about PAII.

The draft that was leaked can be found - here
It's a 120 page pdf file so be prepared.

LOL - The feeling is mutual. Discussing the validity of a conspiracy with some is like asking a bible-thumper to prove that god is real. You both believe in it but neither of you can prove it.

So I'll continue to watch the progress of the Domestic Security Act in committee and you keep reading prisonplanet. But hey, at least we can agree on one thing - it's bad legislation period.

"According to Deist, the bill would not only introduce the national ID card, but make it mandatory to have a job as well as setting up internal checkpoints in the USA."

Interesting. People without jobs become indentured servants
to the state. Now we know who the concentration camps were built
for.
