There are a great many quotes that I really like, several have already been posted, here are a couple more...

-Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.
Dr. Seuss (I think)

-To the world you may be one person but to one person you may be the world.

"If you always do what you've always done, you will always get what you've always got"
Not sure where the quote originated, but it is applicable in so many situations.

I have these on my refrigerator:

"Be yourself, everyone else is already taken." --Oscar Wilde

"We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give"
--Winston Churchill

"Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy." --Benjamin Franklin

"If at first you don't succeed, try again. Then quit. No use being a damn fool about it!" --W.C. Fields

...This last one is especially poignant, considering that the woman was blind and deaf from the age of ten months:

"The most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart." --Helen Keller

Being in an artistic mood this evening, I decided to go with quotes from a few people who I believe truly understood the meaning of "art."

I have felt in my very blood, ever since I was born, a most unconquerable hatred towards the whole tribe of fools, and it arises from the fact that I feel myself a blockhead whenever I am in their company.
-Giacomo Casanova

The man who never alters his opinions is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind.
-William Blake

Inspiration comes of working every day.
-Charles Baudelaire
