i was inspired to post this after reading about that poor woman tragically dying in her car, working 4 jobs to make ends meet...

this documentary does a good job of putting into the perspective the great divide between the rich and poor which seems to be getting larger and larger each and every day

this puts into to perspective the reasons why you will see "the tea party" pushing slogans like "ayn rands..atlas shrugged"

the doco does a good job of showing both sides and why a tax system is critical for a society to function....but also shows the negative side of the rich getting richer and the ever increasing ways they are looking to move money off shore and get out of paying tax...

In America, the rich are getting richer. Isn't that great? Doesn't that mean there's lots more wealth to go round? Or is it good news for the rich but very bad news for the poor? 740 Park Avenue, Manhattan, is one of the most exclusive addresses in the world, home to some of the richest Americans, the 1% of the 1%. Ten minutes to the north, across the Harlem River, is the other Park Avenue, in the South Bronx. Here, unemployment runs at 19% and half the population need food stamps. The American Dream of equal opportunities and hard work says you can be born in the Bronx and end up at 740. But is that dream still true? The film argues the super-rich haven't just bought the exclusive addresses – they've bought the whole system and the'’re running it for themselves.

Ok it's obvious your not a fan of capitalism, and thats fine.
Now please point out a system that doesn't have a bunch of rich powerful guys looking down upon the huddled masses.

Interesting documentary it really is. S&F for you. These ultra rich billionaire Republicans are some of the most vile greedy evil people I've ever seen. They obviously have no regard for their fellow human beings whatsoever. All they care about is their money it's sad.
Great quote in the film is 'if you don't want to pay tax then you don't get civilization.'

And to pre empt any silly simplistic namecalling such as you're a communist or whatever, no, I believe in democracy and capitalism which is fair and equitable not some bizarre billionaire's fantasy of everything exists for them to exploit to increase their absurd wealth.

I suppose there will always be rich greedy vile fascists, it's human nature.

"Here go one for, all these killings and all these conflicts in religion
See the Muslims, Jews and Christians but know they are all God's children
There's only, one him, plus ain't none of y'all confronting him
So blind in our own minds we wouldn't even know God if 'we was in front him'
And, I read your books know all your remixes to the Bible
What about a verse for the thugs, a cure for drugs and survival
Let's add some chapters named Martin, Malcolm and Farrakhan
In all my history books, only one died was the Americans
And, let's point em out who's responsible for Vietnam
And, hold on there's more, we had two World Wars
And, how come the judges make more than the teachers is making
When they the ones raising all the taxes and got us fighting for education
Life is crazy ain't it"

France.

It does have a capitalist economy, and it does have rich people. But the masses are not huddled and poor. They have their basic needs met and security.

The capitalistic economy is counter balanced with a socialistic government.

How come we can understand the concept of a child needing both a paternal and maternal influence, both nurture and discipline, Yang and Yin, but not understand that a nation also needs the two ???
