Scientists discover vast methane plumes escaping from Arctic seafloor

I'm amazed at the pseudoscience rolling around in here.

The planet is warming. The vast majority of climate scientists agree that the reason is man-made.

Even if it wasn't, wouldn't the problem that could cause the extinction of all life on this planet be something we should focus on trying to avoid rather than aggravate it?

And us trying to pull back from the brink is like us speeding towards a cliff . We're 20 feet from the cliff and don't even have our seatbelts unbuckled. If people are balking at the cost of fighting this, what is the cost of NOT fighting it? How are we going to spend our money if we're all dead? I'm not normally a fear-monger, but this is something worthy of being concerned about.

As I like to say to my girlfriend its better out than in.

What if one day its built up and it explodes causing a hell on earth.
