The EU and USA have already gone too far. It's like Russia supplying guns and technology to the Irish or Mexicans and rubbing London and Washington's nose in it. Stupid thick politicians, Ukraine is in Russia's orbit.

It's nothing of the sort - for that analogy to work, you'd have to have the British invade Ireland first, or American invade Mexico - neither of which happened.

I can see us really regretting this, if Putin is forced into a revenge move like supplying Iran etc with a couple of hundred ICBM's. Stupid dumb western politicians, they've already screwed up the Middle East, now it's the turn of Eastern Europe.

Iran already has it's own indigenous missile industry, based on Russian and North Korean designs. Why would Russia give them ICBM's, when they already have the capability?

The point is it's on their doorstrp so they are taking the piss. Russia got involved because English speaking countries are trying to get control over much of Russia's near abroad, this is pushimg Russia into a reaction which you see as an invasion, others would see it as a defensive action similar to defending the borders from a similar threat to the Nazis.

On the ICBM front I was referring to nukes. Hey the Russians are being encircled by the English speaking people, why not try this as a defence against the relentless assault on Russian influence.

Remember that USA/UK/NATO/Israel whatever you want to call it is single minded in encircling Russia with a view to a final kill at some time in the future. This is wrong and will come back to bite us at some point. Do you not see the mess the English speaking people have made of the Middle East in the past. They should stick to their own domain, look at Libya literally today, a mess created by the West

You do realise that the nearest English speaking country to the European end of Russia is the UK. The UK does not surround Russia. Methinks an Atlas would be handy.

This encirclement of Russia is an oft thrown accusation. The fact is that all the ex-Soviet vassal states and possessions just do not want to be aligned and controlled by Russia, so at the first opportunity have jumped ship. Not surprising, as these nations are far more prosperous than what they would have been had they stayed chained to their old oppressor.

Also, nice try to put Israel in the mix, but they are not part of NATO and most Western nations would not deal with tainted goods. In fact, the UKs position with Israel is decidedly cool.

Russia suppying weapons to the rebels = No big deal?

EU suppying weapons to Ukraine = Big deal?

Does that make sense?

If the west wanted to punish Russia all they have to do is allow Ukraine to join Nato but they haven't done that yet.

FYI The mideast has been screwed up for a very long time now and they didn't need anyones help to get that way.
