Brics nations hosting most of the major sporting events.

Just an observation really.. With the football world cup currently underway it dawned on me that 3 world cups in a row have/will be hosted by BRICS nations, of which there are only 5 countries. (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa)

With the world cup in 2010 held in South Africa, 2014 held in Brazil and the 2018 world cup to be hosted by Russia. On top of that Russia hosted the 2014 Winter Olympics, Brazil to host the 2016 Olympic Games and India staged the 2010 Commonwealth Games. India also bid for the 2014 Asian Games and the under 17 World Cup. Not forgetting Beijing hosted the 2008 Olympic games.

So is there a reason for this? conspiracy maybe, or just that these emerging economies showing some muscle on the world stage?

Bearing in mind these events have to be bid for before they are chosen..

So ATS what do yout think? Are the reany other major events being/have been hosted in one of these 5 powerful nations..

blatter wanted to spread the world cup around all 5 continents, and to countries that needed new stadiums first, hence enland are way down the list.
south africa has the wealth of hartlepool, russia is huge but all there rich people live in london and cant spend anything, danka ukranski.
a simple google search would show fifas agenda.
