I just have to comment. I can vouch for the fact that aid does go to people who need it. I have friends who went to the Phillppines and did a lot of good work there with the relief efforts. And there are many volunteers who give up their time to help others. Please don't insult them. They could one day save your life in some way or another. I also know for a fact that the Red Cross also help in the community with foodbanks. I can personally vouch for that as I was part of that effort and gave up my time to do so.
