sad thing is there are fakes floating around . some of the writing were not his and someone messed with them .

What you have to understand is that Nostradamus deliberatly made his prophesies difficult to translate. Dates were written in dead-languages, and some scholars are still working on the exact translations of Nostradamus's texts. So one can't decide the accuracy of his prophesies, or indeed if he was a prophet, merely on one, two, three facts... one must look at his whole work, and then decide.

I read some of the quatrains in old french in high school, then read some of the more modern translations. It always seemed to me that the old french versions were less ambiguous. Specifically those relating to Hister then Nepoleon then compared them to maps from those eras.

Please don't ask me to translate now. That was a long time ago.
