What if Godzilla was one of us? (Parody song)

Everyone knows Godzilla is the King of all Monsters. Everyone knows that Godzilla turns 60 this year. Everyone knows Godzilla is big and huge.

But what if Godzilla was one of us?

For his diamond anniversary 60th birthday I made this song to ask that question. Hope you enjoy.

I bet if Gojira was one of us...he would STILL destroy entire cities and kick monster butts. He is just that awesome.

Either that or he would dominate a sport or two.

Hhahahaha, thank you! BUT I will say it breaks my heart to hear you do not have the love for Gojira. He was a very big inspiration in my childhood. I can't tell you how many hours I spent making cardboard cities in my room only to stomp on them while roaring like the loudest 8 year old in the universe.

I love Godzilla!!! I really really do!

I didn't have Godzilla as inspiration as a kid....but I DID love building huge lego cities just to stomp on them and demolish them!

And no worries...I really did think it was good!. Is it the first parody you have attempted?

Its the first parody I uploaded surely. But for years I have been changing lyrics to make people laugh at parties or in private circles. I would not normally upload a parody on my youtube channel due to legal fears of being attacked by copyright holders or having my channel shut down (it is a source of small income after all and a great outlet).

But Godzilla's birthday was worth the risk.

Oh man. Dr Demento (Barry Hansen)was another inspiration as a child. Dr D and Weird Al can take much credit for the musical creations I have done throughout my life. An honor to even see you post his name in a thread under one of my funny songs lol. Thank you sir!

I can have a sense of humour that is sometimes hard to crack....but I find that parodies are usually spot on for me. It is a worthy talent

Oh man, Dr Demento's greatest hits was played until the tape cassette finally broke itself in my old tape player. Such good memories of singing along with those songs. Thanks again for even thinking of such when hearing my little Godzilla song.

That is my hope. That Godzilla (Gojira) and all of the giant Kaiju monsters of Japan will protect me and this song in honor of the great King of all Monsters. After all, it is Godzilla's birthday...and what do you get a guy who has destroyed everything already!?
