Let me assure you, I'm not a psychopath. I know, that's what a psycho would say, but I really don't long for mass destruction and misery. If it ever happens, it will be grievous and horrifying and if it happens near me I'll probably crap my pants and beg for it to stop.

It's just...

I'm weary. I'm tired of waiting for the other shoe to drop. I've been on edge since 9/11. I got into conspiracies because I was researching 9/11, looking for patterns, trying to discover when and where the next attack might be, so I could avoid it. I haven't stopped. I can't. I'm addicted to doom porn. I try to take a break for a few days, but then the fear comes and I think, "what if it's today and I miss my chance to escape, because I didn't pay attention?"

Every detail looks like it might be significant. Every event could be the flash point for currency collapse/World War 3/American police state. It's almost all happened about 30 times in the last decade. Iran, Egypt, Libya, Syria and now the Ukraine. Mass shootings, Posse Comitatus, the bailouts...it's all flirting and no action. The last time I got teased this much, I had to pay for it in one-dollar bills.

I don't really want people to die just so I can feel better-maybe we can have some sort of A-Team that fixes everything without killing anyone. Where's Anonymous on this? Or the aliens? Or Benjamin Fulford's secret ninja squad? Somebody.

Perhaps you should give yourself a break then from this website and news and conspiracy stuff. Take a mental vacation. You deserve it! Go to a strip club, enjoy life a little bit! And of course, get the gift that keeps on giving!!! Just kidding of course, the clap is not funny..

If your doom is coming around the corner there's nothing you can do about it anyway. Thats why they call it doom. Worrying about that moment in your life is what keeps you from enjoying your life. Like you said, you been on edge since 911. And whats happened, to you personally?

Wild speculation abounds here and that is all it is. By the time the details reach the internet the event is usually all ready over.

Relax and come down off that ledge.

Dude, if anything was going to happen what could you do to prevent it in the first place? The odds are you could do nothing so there is no point worrying about doom until it actually happens and that's when your natural instinct will click in. So just enjoy life because the likelihood of it happening is very low and there are better things to be doing than your head over conspiracy theories.

This is a mental disorder. You need to talk to a therapist about this situation as it is now clearly effecting a significant part of your life, to the point of hurting your enjoyment of life...get it sorted out.
I would suggest also staying away from any conspiracy -theory- websites until you get a bit more perspective on us nutjobs spouting off random crap for entertainment and consideration.

If something bad was to happen that you happened to be in the area for, you wouldn't hear a warning from ATS anyhow...ats wouldn't know any better...twitter may give you a heads up with a sudden trending, but otherwise, no...ATS however will down the road suggest you didn't die in some firey doom though..you were abducted by aliens, or flown to some secret illuminati island and its all a false flag, etc...but warning? this site isn't a watchtower for bad things, its a weird CSI for alternative theories to the official stories...either way, you shouldn't be using it as a future seeing crystal ball...

So yeah, get some professionals to talk to..maybe get a new hobby if this stresses you too much.
Sorry ATS...don't mean to be suggesting a member take a walk...sometimes you gotta tell a person to take a timeout though.

Seriously...listen to us here. Youre taking all this doom too seriously. Get out. Take a walk. Look at the sky. Take a break. Life is for living.

Get out and do some...living. After all: you can't roller skate in a buffalo herd...so don't try.

I understand with the doom porn, its everywhere. Not just in forums, but msm also. The way I see it, if you've been stressing out for more than a decade then maybe thats your own personal outlet. Some people like to get drunk, some like to bowl. Some do both. For most of us on ATS, we enjoy doom porn. And when everyones up poo creek, we will know exactly what to do. Because we know just about every scenario here on ATS

Keep researching brother

I have the answer for you. Get a pet, a hobby, some friends to go out with. Step away from the computer.

I think if you take a much needed break..you'll get a more balanced perspective of what is really going on around you.

If all you place in front of your eyes is ...doom. That's all your eyes can see.

I just want it to happen while I'm still reasonably young and healthy. If I'm dependent on anyone and don't have the ability to be completely self-sufficient... it's over.

That, and I'd like to be around long enough afterwards to see what kind of society takes shape.

If there's anyone left, that is.

Well, since you are addicted to dooms day porn: what do you think of these strange sequences of white light appearing in the night sky and in a flash, gone? Do think this has anything to do with any kind of dooms day talk? I was driving in the car tonight and saw these strange white lights that flashed and then was gone. There is something going on and it seems to be happening more and more frequent. It's like we are about to encounter something epic that is going to change are world view.

Don't hang onto that fear. It stops you from truly living.

Small fact of life; you don't have the right to expect your next breath.

So; live each moment like it may be your last, with no fear.

You know, this may sound sinister but I kind of agree with you.

I want the doom to come as soon as possible.

Why? Because humans (not everyone collectively of course) have been acting like savages for a very long time now. We pollute this and exploit that. Chasing pieces of worthless paper usually out of the interests of other people. I want the day to come were there's a tipping point, or when nature really gives us a slap up-side the head. We humans are to naive and stuck in our ways to even take any of this seriously until things really start to get bad. The only real way there's hope to fix things is for it to come crashing down. And HOPEFULLY we'll start to get it right then.

I disagree with everyone else on this thread.

A thinking person cannot help but noticed that our civilization is in decline. In most dimensions, we peaked someplace between 1959 and 1989. Just look at the number of new states that have come into existence in the past 25 years. A generation ago, The Soviet Union was a single state. Yugoslavia was a single state. Zaire was a single state. Somalia was a single state. Czechoslovakia was a single state. Things are breaking apart; from the phone company to popular music, culture is fragmenting into thousands of tiny subcultures that isolate people. The population growth rates around the world a leveling off or are already in decline.

You are right to be concerned. And the fact that the first page of responses on here on ATS are basically telling you to sit down and shut up. What kind of conspiracy web-site is populated with individuals who support the "party line"?

Get out have fun, live life as if you were going to die the next day. After all isn't that basically doom porn? Wondering if you're going to die the next day? Feeding yourself fear won't ever help you, so cut off the supply.

Take a long walk trust me seeing the world with you're own eyes is much more interesting than watching and eating up what someone else says about the world. Trust me calm down for a minute and look at the beauty around you, the people, architecture, all that stuff.
Don't give into fear that's the bottom line. Take a break that helps also.
