Lady Gaga Wastes 365,000 Gallons of Water During Calif. Drought

Horrible inexcusable and totally inappropriate behavior by Lady GaGa.

They actually filled a huge swimming pool with water for a video shoot.

They had planned to somehow "re-use" the water for irrigation.

But some BoneHead put chlorine in the water effectively rendering the water useless !!!!

Ug !! Another "Nobel Prize" Moment.

Radar Online reports that during one of the worst droughts in California's history, Lady Gaga wasted 365,000 gallons of precious water while shooting a video at the Hearst Castle.

Erm so what did they do with it?

The chlorine will dissipate pretty fast. And probably can be used for irrigation in a matter of days. Most drinking water is chlorinated too, isn't it? Much ado about nothing. Sounds like someone just wanted to be outraged.

Well, It's still going to make it's way back to the water table!

The pool was leaking anyways... who's to say it didn't irrigate something?

It's ironic that she was shooting something about conserving water. I don't know if pool water can ever be used to water plant life. I would assume they would have to remove it from the pool to allow it to dissipate, and filter it. Some people use way too much of those pool chemicals. I'm sure it was just an unfortunate mistake - not done on purpose. Assume the best of people.

It's not very surprising. She walks around wearing fur coats, why would she care about a drought? The world revolves around superstars, it's Lady Gaga's world you guys, we just live in it.

Nice to know all the water restrictions we deal with in Colorado are allowing these people to keep their pools full in a desert.

Even if they put a massive amount of chlorine in there, as someone already posted, it will be free of chlorine in a short time. The sun's UV rays cause the chlorine to dissipate.

If people have already forgot.

The best use of a pool in SoCal is to hone your skateboarding skills. Who has time or money to keep them full of water? Especially when there is an ocean scant miles away.

Evaporation concern you ? probably not. A roof top cooler on a hotel or any business will evaporate 2000 gallons of water a day, but does anyone think of that?
