These photos were taken by Raffaele Popolizio on December 28, 2013 in Italy. There's an unusual massive blue object that appears to be moving passed Jupiter; possibly heading towards the inner solar system. I'm no expert on photo analysis or space photography so I was hoping others here that are more educated on this matter might chime in and solve this mystery.

You can almost see an "infinity sign" shape within the blue object.

Aliens? Crazy comet? Nibiru? Blue Kachina?

You're looking at a reflection of Jupiter inside the camera lens. Also known as lens flare. Outlined in this post here:

Thanks for clearing that up.

I searched before I posted this thread and didn't see it listed.

Why does it appear to be moving independently of the real object(Jupiter). Lens flare should mimic the object they are reflecting. When we see lens flare from the sun the reflected Sun does exactly as the real Sun. It doesn't go spinning away past the sun or round the sun or even just jumping up and down. Lens flares don't do that. Now there may be another phenomena taking place here and the movement can be explained but I'm not familiar with that .

Awesome! Can anyone measure the distance to earth and size?

Could it be organic? A space whole ? Intriguing ... even if it was some flare or bug... theres some consistency on the shape, distance, size and path...

edit time: the moderator cleared that out
