Well,

I've never heard of anything like this happening in the waters of South Africa, let alone someone actually getting a photograph of it. A 40 ton whale launching itself onto a yacht

The full article is here: "http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/worldnews/article-1296474/Spot-endangered-species-yacht-trip-turns-modern-day-Moby-Dick-southern-right-whale-lands-d eck-couple.html" (Won't link properly)

I've seen some pretty awesome and weird stuff in the wild in SA, but this is just bizarre. Takes the cake

(Mods - If this is in the wrong section, please move - Thanks)

www.dailymail.co.uk...
Holy Moly, or should I say Moby!

That's pretty awesome, and I wonder if the whale was wanting to play or if it felt threatened in any way? A story for the kids for sure!
They were lucky they did not get hurt!
Nice find...

Peace

I hope SuperMod Intrepid doesn't see this.
Look at the name of the boat.

LOL! Maybe that whale works for TPTB and is trying to assassinate ATS Members?

that is the coolest pic ever that made my day. I want to know what the odds are of a whale doing that then the odds of a whale doing that and getting a perfect pic of it.
how the hell did that happen!! Timing is everything...

Exactly my thoughts! As I said, I've never heard of this before, let alone someone ACTUALLY getting a photo of it. I'm sure this is going to win an award of some type

South Africa hmm maybe it's taking revenge for the Vuvuzelas and finds them as annoying as I do.

Hopefully the whale escaped Injury and I'm suprised the boat is still floating what happened to the driver seems to be missing from the second picture.
