for all you people that voted for Obama, might as well leave this thread, this are just one of the hundreds of "right-wingers bash Obama threads"...they like to talk among themselves, and they simply don't want to here from anyone else.

Well I for one, am all ears.

I'll listen to anything reasonable.

[waiting for people who voted for Obama and no longer support]

[waiting for Obama voters who still support]

How has Obama increased the rights of the majority of citizens?

No, not even close.. You are suffering from the "I support my man even if he lies and breaks the law every day" disease. It shows you could care less about integrity as long as your favorite is the one calling the shots.. You are embarrassing yourself by showing that unethical and illegal, and immoral behavior from this president does not matter to you, which means you share the same qualities as him and his do.. Maybe you feel indebted to him for that free cell phone, or some other perceived but not received entitlement.. A noble gesture, but ethically inappropriate..

I know people who voted for your guy, but they are big enough to condemn illegal, immoral, and unethical actions regardless of what party he represents. Just because the rest of his party (and the other one too) support virtually every un-American and unconstitutional thing he proposes, like a rubber stamp club.

When only "right wingers" (your words not mine), bash illegal and heinous behavior, and the liberal democrats don't bat an eye at it, you know there goes another country down like Humpty Dumpty..

But the real truth is that "right and left wingers" are to blame for it all. Not just the left wing crowd, or right wing crowd by themselves for that matter, but you aren't even granting that much are you...

There is absolutely nothing about this that has anything to do with the current administration. These activities have been ongoing well prior to Obama, some for decades. The White House has zero to do with the creation, approval, implementation or termination of collection methods, policies and procedures.
Stop! Just stop making excuses for this liar. He sold all of us many lines of BS. Just stop!

in your sig, you say "beware saul alinsky's tactics...here's a quote from him, in which you would obviously disagree...

Alinsky did not join political parties. When asked during an interview whether he ever considered becoming a Communist party member, he replied:
Not at any time. I've never joined any organization—not even the ones I've organized myself. I prize my own independence too much. And philosophically, I could never accept any rigid dogma or ideology, whether it's Christianity or Marxism. One of the most important things in life is what Judge Learned Hand described as 'that ever-gnawing inner doubt as to whether you're right.' If you don't have that, if you think you've got an inside track to absolute truth, you become doctrinaire, humorless and intellectually constipated. The greatest crimes in history have been perpetrated by such religious and political and racial fanatics, from the persecutions of the Inquisition on down to Communist purges and Nazi genocide.[4]

Opinions vary....

Born to Russian-Jewish parents in Chicago in 1909, Saul Alinsky was a Communist/Marxist fellow-traveler who helped establish the tactics of infiltration -- coupled with a measure of confrontation -- that have been central to revolutionary political movements in the United States in recent decades. He never joined the Communist Party but instead, as David Horowitz puts it, became an avatar of the post-modern left.

Though Alinsky is rightfully understood to have been a leftist, his legacy is more methodological than ideological. He identified a set of very specific rules that ordinary citizens could follow, and tactics that ordinary citizens could employ, as a means of gaining public power. His motto was, “The most effective means are whatever will achieve the desired results.”

Saul from Chicago

Are you using Rule #5 and #11 ?

The rules

1 “Power is not only what you have, but what the enemy thinks you have."
2 “Never go outside the expertise of your people.”
3 “Whenever possible, go outside the expertise of the enemy.”
4 “Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules.”
5 “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.”
6 “A good tactic is one your people enjoy.”
7 “A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag.”
8 “Keep the pressure on. Never let up.”
9 “The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself.”
10 "The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition."
11 “If you push a negative hard enough, it will push through and become a positive.”
12 “The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative.”
13 “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.”

Rules for Radicals

I used #4

those listed tactics seems to be the ones republicans are using right now against Obama and democrats...far from radical, these tactics seem quite common now in politics.

It was really controversial and people don't like Obama's state of the nation. It's like you were deprived of your rights now.

Fight fire with fire as they say...

Adam Brandon, a spokesman for the conservative non-profit organization FreedomWorks, one of several groups involved in organizing Tea Party protests, says the group gives Alinsky's Rules for Radicals to its top leadership members. A shortened guide called Rules for Patriots is distributed to its entire network. In a January 2012 story that appeared in The Wall Street Journal, citing the organization's tactic of sending activists to town-hall meetings, Brandon explained, "his [Alinsky's] tactics when it comes to grass-roots organizing are incredibly effective." Former Republican House Majority Leader Dick Armey also gives copies of Alinsky's book Rules for Radicals to Tea Party leaders.

(from same wiki link)

But it *ALL* depends on who's listening right?

As this coward sounds non establishment...he plays with the socialist-democratic side exclusively. He sides with the party that closely parrallels his views and beliefs, the democrats. Say what you wish, but you are indexed by the groups you side and work with, so in reality, the great thinker IS a democrat, like it or not...
