Did you read the Disclaimer..?

They are not affiliated with the Above Network...

But, maybe you should participate in the survey anyways and let us know how it goes...

No...

It should stay on the front page, so those not familiar with 'Disclaimers' get something out of it. For example: you.

edit on 17-1-2014 by facelift because: add stay

Ill stop running in circles and screaming now.

ETA posted too fast. Musta been dizzy from the circles thing.
Its not associated with ATS.. thats pretty clear. I tend to read things before I start clicking. I learned my lesson when I tried to catch that monkey...

A new tab opened when i either pressed Recent or r e f r e s h and it seems to put certain text in orange and double underline

Check your browser's extensions or plug-ins. You will probably find a new one. The extension will probably say it has something to do with games.

Your location says, North Shore on Lake Erie -- so you're in Canada? The URL of the "survey" seems to imply it's targeted at Canadian users. The company who registered the domain is hidden, but it's hosted in Cincinnati, Ohio. It "looks" like one of the old survey formats Burst Media used to use, years ago, but we've not been associated with then since 2007.

What page did you refresh before it appeared?

Actually I have received this survey. Right around the time that ATS reformatted to the new forum. It didn't look like that. My page was grey with white lettering. Once the bugs were worked out of the new format. These redirect ads stopped.

The only reason that would happen is your computer is infected.

I don't remember whether i pressed refresh, but the last page i posted to was this one
or i preshed recent, not sure, those are the 2 things i use the most, i sure hope this did not do anything, but it sure gave me a scare, i never did anything with the tab that popped up except take a screen shot and close it. I use bitdefender so that better be working right.

oh for ----'s sake, i am so sick of these friggin' @#$@!. Like I said I don't open anything or click any advertisements or even use email. we need some really good techie info if this is going on. Everything is getting so complicated, which anti-virus is best, do you download or buy, which i did. how do you know if you are infected, download malmare bytes or are they making the virus i just don't know anymore.

I live in the Philly Burbs and I get this pop up from time to time on my desktop.

I think its because of something my kids downloaded or a virus the computer picked up because my kids are constantly downloading new games that make the computer do weird things like underlining certain words (I get underlines in 3 different colors). I have to go in and delete the newest downloads every once and a while and run an extensive virus scan and it still doesn't fix it all.

About a month back, I couldn't star or flag threads or post pics on the desktop and couldn't figure out why. Then, after deleting a bunch of junk and adware, I tried starring a post and found out everything worked again. Its probably some adware that reads what site you're on and makes it seem as though the survey is related to that site.

What do you use, I have bitdefender with safepay, which if I do have some friggin' hacker, ha ha i never bank on line. I wonder if these dame anti-virus companies don't create these viruses to make you buy their latest software. That is what I feel anyway and it makes me sick. Trying to keep everything safe and sound is exhausting.
