More than flags.

Hello ladies and gentlemen and everyone else,

During the weekend I was wondering about a few things.

Thing number one: Why are we allowed to award only one flag to a thread we find interesting or important? If we find it to be great we should be allowed to flag it up to five times. (imho)

Thing number two: Why do cats have only one tail?

Thing number three: I was wondering why I wondered about cats having only one tail. (the dirty hippies must have dosed me at the party.)

I'm assuming that we can only 'star' a post once, because one is all you need.
Same with a cat's tail....one is all they need. But they DO get 9 lives, so it's all good.

The cat tail is easy.
One tail gets stepped on, run over, caught by, enough for the poor cat.

Can you imagine how rough it would be for them, if they had more?

They would never get anywhere.

You were not paying attention. I said flags... not stars!

Of course you can only award one star! To think otherwise is total and complete lunacy. Flags are different.

Flags have many uses, but history shows you really only need one for any specific purpose:

I remember a time when you could flag a post..and then if you wanted, you could unflag it. I just tried to flag and unflag but nothing happened..so I'm guessing that option is gone now.

I'm a cat... And I sure don't have a tail!! just kidding ... Hehe...

One flag.. For you and a star.. Just for fun!!

Cats only have one tail because if they had two, they might try to turn left and right at high speed at the same time.

1- One flag is enough: For example, now a good thread gets around 20-30 flags, and less important ones between 0-10; If we introduced MORE flags, then good threads would have 100-150 stars, and "poor" threads between 10-50.
THERE WOULD BE NO DIFFERENCE IN THE RANKING OF THREADS, ONLY BIGGER NUMBERS.

2-Cats have only one tail because it's the most efficent way to balance their bodies. If they had NO tail, they would be clumsy and die off; If they had TWO tails, it would be too costly both energy wise and "brain usage" wise(NATURE IS ALL ABOUT EFFICIENCY).

I don't really care about flags or stars. I read topics because I found them interesting or when I'm bored.

But if I would look at flags how could I tell the difference between a topic that is flagged 10 times by to overenthusiastic drunk people or 10 people that just cared enough about the thread to flag it one simplistic time?

Why don't you only flag the threads you think worthy of four or five flags?
