Nothing or nobody can show you or teach you something that you cannot believe 100%.

Only YOU can decide what makes sense to you and applies to your life.

If I told you a crayon I was holding was green you should take that with a pinch of salt.

Hold the crayon in YOUR hand and you would have a less disputable truth. YOUR truth because you see it with your own eyes.

Part of the human condition is a natural lack of trust instilled over millenia. Plenty of knowledge can be taught and learned, but the personal stuff is just that....personal, and can often only come from within where the only person to trust is you.

Could it be that grasping the truth is harder the lower your intelligence is? Could it be that heaven and hell is merely high intelligence and low intelligence? Could it be that the intelligence of individuals can be altered somehow but that this knowledge has been hidden from the masses or from some people?

Could it be a secret group of people, a conspiracy, that have hidden such knowledge and that those people have used such knowledge to dumb down some people and to increase their own intelligence?

Could it be that some highly intelligent and technologically advanced people discovered a way to dumb down some people and a way to increase their own intelligence, and that some of us have been a victim or result of such dumbing down?

And could it be that one's outer world is a simulation created by God? That mind is all that exists, no matter?

These are the kind of things I think about when I think about the truth.

What truth are you speaking of? Maybe a bit more elaboration on your part would make for a decent thread but as it is, it is not.

I don't mean to offend anyone but when I see the stars this post got I wonder if people are liking it solely out of humor or if it may be so that the reason they like it more than other posts in the thread is because the other posts are above their level of intelligence?

And by the way what is humor, really, on a deep level?

Let's say someone somehow discovers the "truth" and exposes them for all to know.What would you think happen then?,what happens if we know the real reason behind our creation and maybe the creator itself? Does knowing the truth make us any happier or better as a result,and how?...Does it make foods taste any better or sex any hotter or sleep anymore desirable?...Does that make us to love more or to do something better at all?...just wondering.

What if we are just computer programs? If so then what is the truth about the creators of the computer programs? And what is the truth about what's beyond the perception of the creator?

Existence/reality is moving now but it is also still now. Can you see it moving?

Is what is real (true) anywhere else but here?

What if I am some kind of code and the universe around me, the universe I am perceiving, is a computer program that I am being run through? And that the reason I am being run through it is to test me (to see if I'm passing or failing something)? That the program feeds me truth and that the extent to which it feeds me truth varies?

Think about two different posters in this thread. Think about them as real people IRL. Now think about the total perceived existence of one of these people, then of the total perceived existence of the other. Their worlds are separate, they live in different worlds. Or do they?

This is the main cause of suffering in this species - it believes in reward and punishment, it sees everything as a test.

Intelligence has nothing to do with truths. Some laugh at the individual who plays "The Fool" yet the fool only stays that way until all lessons are learned and know's better than even the most educated, i.e. Mastering "The Fool". Likewise what a "intelligent" individual finds truths in so can a less intelligent if not just regurgitated in a different format that suits ones life (layman vs. not).

More to the point that "the truth" is based on personal experiance, the world itself is more so a spiritual school and truths of this world are not the truths of the universe and all that inhabit.

Furthermore Man made Laws are not Universal Laws.

All stated is pending personal ideology and the truths one picks up on this quest of life we all decided to take.

I would like to however, ask you this.

If you new "the truth" what would you do with it?

Would you blair it for all to hear? Would that make any difference? Or would the "reality of the truth" be received by some and discarded as hersay by most?

This is where the triviality of the "the truth" comes to a peak.

This is where "the truth" and "enlightenment" changes the individual and there perception of life and how ones either swims with or goes against the current.

To help thoughs that don't know by not helping them with there truths by not pushing your personal truths, but to help them see there own truths that are personal to them and not pertinant to anyone other than themselves. To not obstruct those on the same journey, just on different paths of life.

Your question though honest, is of the utmost trivial nature and no disrespect is intended I assure you.

When I think of truth it reminds me of the justice scales except mine would be a circle with many branches. A little truth in each one.
I try to Connet dots and read between the lines. Things seem to fall in place quite well.

I've tried reading up on chakras and other so called paths to enlightenment. Something in me could never pursue these teachings. It did not feel like something I wanted or needed to do so I didn't.

I think it's important to follow what feels right not because someone says its the way.

I feel true truth can only come from your struggle to find it alone. This is why I don't trust any of these so called "enlightened" people's truth.
It seems to me from my own experience that it is a process. Your perception on something will evolve as you do. When some one says this is the way it is, they are giving you thier perception and it will be skewed.
I think the Internet is an excellent way to find guidance because YOU choose what you are seeking.

The truth is different for everyone as it is a rather subjective perception of an objective reality, I personally think that the more objectively you can view reality the closer you become to that one objective truth that is the founding principle of all existence.

I think that when we find ourselves in 1984 with surveillance and a lot of evil, and sometimes fear and paranoia as a reaction to the outer world, we have that simulation sent to us from God to make us want to seek God and also to begin to question the nature of reality. I feel like the increasing evil in my cosmos means I'm heading back home soon. This t-shirt is relevant:

I might buy one. Something tells me it might be a way to be sure to remain alone. But maybe that is good? Don't you have to be immersed deep into the shadow to attain enlightenment? That's what I have read in some places. No pain no gain. And thus a depressing life situation might be a sign you are blessed, and not cursed?

I am guessing your religious, :-) . There are many religions, one I think Mormons but not sure believed that Jesus and the Devil were brothers, I think don't quote me. Are you sure that the truth that you are having trouble to grasp and asking God for help is an absolute truth? Maybe you're just reading something into it that isn't there. Like searching for patterns or connections.

You spoke of Heaven and Hell and computer simulations. Maybe you're just hitting your head against the wall , if you stop for awhile you might see that things just don't add up to a simulation. You're math might be off. Your truth might not be everyone else's truth, everyone sees things different. Just relax and try not to get yourself to worked up.

That's what you think. I think it appears more likely that the world is a simulation than that it is not.
