Why is everything the way it is?

What do the beings out there on those UFOs do right now? Where do they go when they are not here? Imagine what are they up to now.

Let us suppose beings exist that are more advanced. Why do they exist in THAT state?(doing and experiencing more than we could) Is it all a mere accident that has put us HERE and not somewhere else? What separates these beings from being us or us being them?

To simply put, why is a dog a dog? Why is there a supernatural? What is reality?

The 'simulation argument' is the result of someone reading Plato and completely missing the point. Even if you are in a computer simulation and you manage to pull yourself out, you can't prove that your 'new reality' is any more real than the old one. The only thing you can prove is your own existence, and only to yourself.

To answer the OP though: Things are the way they are because that's how you made them. The rules are completely arbitrary. I think what you're really asking is 'why does anything exist at all?' That is the ultimate question, and unfortunately the answer isn't 42.

Good point, it's like saying "ATM machine" or "irregardless", but that begs the question; what better words can describe the supernatural, or paranormal?

Nevertheless the terms have taken root and there's no going back. I prefer 'anomaly' or 'high strangeness'.
