These figures reflect people who have selected an insurance plan, but not all have paid their first month's premium, which activates the coverage. An additional 1.94 million people have been determined eligible to enroll, but have not yet picked a policy.
Officials say they think 90% of transaction forms are accurate, but are still working with insurers to match applicants records.
I actually just found out moments ago that in order to be added to my husband’s insurance (which is the route I thought I was going to be able to go) it is going to cost me $900 per month, and the insurance is awful. It doesn’t cover my treatments, and I have to pay $5k out of pocket before any co-insurance even picks up! We simply can not afford $900 per month for my health care alone.
People shopping for insurance on the federal marketplace may be informed they're eligible for Medicaid and that their information is being sent to state officials to sign them up. However, states aren't able enroll them because they're not receiving usable data from the Obama administration.

ok...1st, the woman's story, if you read it, says that she hasn't been able to sign onto the website... it said she called "other insurance companies" and they gave her quotes....she has NOT CONTACTED the website or called the helpline...2nd, we don't know what her income is, and 3rd, we don't know what subsidy she might receive.....
