It's the two-year anniversary of Operation Cast Lead and for the first time Israeli soldiers are speaking publicly about their orders. In startling interviews they claim the IDF brutally targeted civilians.

journeyman.tv/

These soldiers are laying bare the true extent of Israel's cruelty in Gaza. Yet while many expected human rights abuse, the horrific attacks on civilians they speak about was worse than anyone imagined. "It sounds really terrible to say 'cleanse', but those were the orders", says tank commander Ohad. Speaking candidly of the instructions they were given before their entry into Gaza, the soldiers accuse their leaders of a 'disproportionate' response, which aimed to target civilians.

A little peek into the reality of these "military" actions in civilian areas.
How can we stand by as our energy and resources are been abused to kill and mame innocent men, women and children.
This video gives a good insight of how these battles create victimizes both sides in a conflict.
In a war no one wins.
These types of war crimes are not only commited by Israeli forces of course.
It is sickening to see that they are becoming the norm for most western military actions.
I was still under the impression that we all agreed after world war 2 that this sort of thing is not done anymore.

Sorry but if they are being critical of Israel then they are obviously anti Semites and most likely Nazis.

It always pains me to see any soldiers because they are always so young and now so jaded with life and theirs has not really begun
.
Poor people on both sides
.

This was a video about the soldiers, I did say "poor people on both sides...
If this was more about the civilians I would have commented more about them.
This is the first interview I have seen from Israeli soldiers, one of the first shown, so I commented on the subject matter...the soldiers.
You want me to comment on the civs? ok..

It is a pity the commanders or whoever gave the orders can't be done for war crimes but seeing Israel and the USA do not recognize the war crime commission, it will never happen.

The story to me was about the orders given to Israeli soldiers to "cleanse" the Palestinians. Although it's certainly believable, personally this video comes across as very one sided and in the realms of propaganda. Not unlike the west would do.

How many times will this video be posted on ATS?

Not that I have anything against discussing the situation *It should be* but this video or contents have made the rounds here a few times if I'm not mistaken.

U.S. and israel supporting the human
rights of Palestinians is like when Dick Cheney
didn't regret his vote against Freeing Nelson Mandela.
. . . falsely calling Nelson Mandela a terrorist,
Same old, same old by U.S. and israel,
Dick Cheney Didn't Regret His Vote Against Freeing Nelson Mandela, Maintained He Was A 'Terrorist'
Once again, repeating history and ignoring human basic rights,
and being ignorant
in the definition of "Apartheid".
Just as denying Palestinians their basic right to
live in their own homes.

Insanity Simply clarified :
Netanyahu to Dutch PM:
Gazans Can’t Be Allowed to Export Goods

netanyahu must have fallen off the back of a
golden chariot and bumped his head,
hopefully it wont be a cultural thing, Jews should do the
ethical , instead of holding ugly grudges.
