Its strange that i cant any news about this happening on the internet today but it seems that the popular movie and TV link websites Tube+ and Solamovie have been blocked today by all the major ISP's in the UK.

There was news that it was going to happen about a month ago but it seems today they finally decided to pull the plug. I had never been on SolaMovie but i used Tube+ daily mainly for watching TV programs that are not shown in my country. It seems odd that the authorities can get what were essentially link sites banned but the sites that actually hosted the illegal material (putlocker, NovaMovie, BillionUploads etc, etc) remain free from restrictions.

This is a prime example of what happens when you let governments start with any sort of censorship. First its 'for your protection' and then they start to cut away at anything that they are not making money from.

Im hoping another Tube+ will pop up again shortly.

Thanks for the update. They started a few weeks ago. I was just on solarmovie.so earlier, but now as you say it is blocked by sky. Don't know why they bother, a new domain will be up in no time.
Plus there are many ways around it

Give this a go. Reroutes to blocked sites. Maybe it will help.

Immunicity info

How to

“All it needs is for the user to change one setting in their web browser, then when they next attempt to access a blocked site, it will be seamlessly routed via our proxy servers to get unblocked,” Immunicity’s operators explain.

This works perfect. Thanks very much.

Plus as it says on the site. When that pompous twit Cameron has porn sites blocked, this will work around it. Everyone should have the choice to watch porn and not have to talk to some stranger over the phone to opt out.

Cool, I think the folks at that run Immunicity will update rather for this quickly. You can probably send them an email to hurry them along if needed.

Glad it worked (partially at least.)

Thanks again Bassago , it looks like immunicity has now put TubePlus on their list so I'm super happy once again.

I've said it time and time again.... dump your main stream ISP... Join a local independent. Yes it will cost a few more pounds a month but you get unrestricted access....

Peace,

Korg.
