Anti-human GOP policy of punish the poor and stupidity by democrats is coming into being

Here we go again, where so-called civilized “Christians” are presiding over unnecessary suffering they have caused by the dogmatic and inhuman policy of austerity.www.abovetopsecret.com...

Wonderful…just at Christmas time and thanksgiving the depraved GOP policies of starvation and loss and the Democratic policy of lack of foresight will hit the poor like a ton of bricks

In this case its not only the antihuman GOP, since we can always expect them to worship the devil and starve people but here the dems have this to answer for as well.www.infowars.com...

The plan had been to leave the increase in place until inflation caught up through annual adjustments to SNAP benefit levels, which had been expected to happen in 2015. But congressional Democrats essentially raided the cookie jar, using the future planned spending to offset the cost of priority legislation in 2010. They said at the time that they would put the money back before any decrease could take effect, but they have not kept their promise. www.dailykos.com...#

When Democrats pulled money out of SNAP to help states save public sector jobs and to provide after school meals for children, they didn't realize how big the 2010 Republican wave would be. Once it was Speaker John Boehner, not Nancy Pelosi, there wasn't an awful lot they could do to replace the money, what with House Republicans fighting to cut food stamps further, not replace missing funds. But that's the sort of thing you have to plan for. And the fact that SNAP benefits were one of the main places the money was taken from is to Democrats' shame. Now, the mistakes of 2010 are coming home to roost—again—and it's going to be people struggling to put food on the table who pay the price—again.

Unfortunately the clueless American people voted in the GOP barbarians in 2010, people who don’t believe in humanity but only in loving and worshiping evil in the form of the Koch brothers and other billionaires who own them.

Consequently children in this wealthiest country in history will go to bed hungry
Senior citizens will have to eat cat food
Many veterans, who risked their lives for our freedom, will go hungry this cold winter

May God soon make those responsible get what they deserve!

Finally, I hope those here on ATS will increase their generosity and give to food banks and other outlets to save our fellow Americans less fortunate than we are from undue suffering

Its not like they are cutting it in half or anything. The cuts are actually a lot less per family than I had imagined.

They can make up for the loss by shopping smart, which is something they should be doing anyway.

Anti-human GOP policy of punish the poor ... where so-called civilized “Christians” are presiding over unnecessary suffering ... the depraved GOP policies of starvation ...

etc etc etc .... Oh just stop. I'd say that this is just more of the usual partisan rhetoric from you but this time you really ramped up the buzz words .. didn't you? Seriously dude ... didn't you read your own source about the democrats 'raiding the cookie jar' and that they failed to keep their promises?? That .. and this is just an expiration of a boost in the give away program and it's back to where it was originally supposed to be.

It doesn't matter how much. It's the fact that they took from this program at all, when it seems there's all the money in the world to go bomb and otherwise harrass other countries/send aid out to other countries.

Seriously, you must know how bad the fraud is to date.

I get behind illegals, at the grocery store. They pull out cards, last person three!.
If you need the food, that is one thing, I would support a family if necessary; have.

How do I know they are illegal? stfu.

Oops...oh, there is thing called a "job"...go get one.

Ah Ha.... the anticipated QE 'Tapering' got transferred from Tapering the handouts to the Bankers

to Tapering the Sustinence the fired people need to have to be well fed enough

ergo we have "SNAP" tapering instead of "QE" Tapering...

yeah.... "tightening your belt" is for the former working class
not the elites that are gaming the stock markets & paying themselves hefty Compensation & Bonuses

To my thinking...If the 0bama wants to cut SNAP they should demand the federal reserve cut QE
any 'austerity' measures must be equal and shared by all the people
as it is the rich are increasing the economic gap between them and the middle class even more with this Food Stamp cut...meanwhile our SNAP cards buy less every day with the $85Billion decay of the USD every month

Its their parents' responsibility to shop economically and like I pointed out in my above post.... its not like these cuts were astronomical in the first place.

You are acting like these families are getting nothing now, which just isn't factual.

I agree that cuts could have been made in MANY (too many to name) other areas.

Just because I didn't express my disagreement, should not imply that I condone the cuts. All I did was show the actual amounts per family.

To me this is a double edge sword.

I don't think we would of need to cut the food stamp (SNAP) program if there were not so many free loaders (California Surfer comes to mind) misusing the system.

The SNAP program has its merits, but many fall downs as well, Like why are we using SNAP money to fund the National School Lunch program that many areas are dropping because of cost.

Why are we not looking at all those that come to this country get on Welfare, purchase goods and ship them back to were they originally came from (60 Minutes did a report on this in NY)

When my wife was working for the Dollar Tree, she seen people pull up in a brand new Escalade, get out dressed in their high end designer cloths, talking on their expensive phones, come in and buy items at the dollar tree and use a SNAP card, this just don't seem right at all, I think they can afford not to have it. like Maybe cut back on the luxury items

I understand Welfare, I grew up on it in the 60" & 70's, Family of 5 and no father, my mother would go to work but still need help. we never had that kind of stuff, but she managed.

What the Welfare program was is not the same as it is today, today its just a free hand out for everyone and that is the problem, those that really need the help are the ones that are getting hurt, those that are just free loaders are hurting the system.

I have seen too many people abuse the system, instead of complain about it lets do something about it, like I have done a few times. If you see or know of someone that is abusing the system use the link below.

www.fns.usda.gov...

Lets protect those that really need it and get those off of it that are just freeloaders

Dude seriously, use of such hyperbole doesnt help you with your cause. I'm surprised you havent pulled out the nazi analogies yet.

The "cuts" are bringing SNAP back down to levels they were before "temporary" increases inflated them. Dont you know, the President's economic plan worked......things are booming. All the credit for this great economy is due to him......

Seriuosly the levev of entitlement in this land astounds me.

Don't want this to sound uncaring but... the average cut is not all that much. One may be eating less potato chips and drinking less coca cola but overall, the percentage roll-back doesn't seem that drastic.

i concede that the cut was not selective... it's just that the 0bama stimulus ended & with it the temporary increased payments of food stamps to those 'temporarily' in need

well it turns out that 12 million unemployed are not so temporary at that
the 47 million are Terminally unemployed and now getting sand-kicked-in-their-faces to boot

even while the cash strapped nation is ordered to purchase some 2,700 Armored-Personnel-Carriers...and
billions of rounds of ammunition for DHS
even as we sent a couple Billion to post Mubarick Egypt
and fund/arm and support identified Terrorist Organizations in Syria who have a mean streak to do genocide to local christians

All the while the USD is losingworld-wide cofidence in it because of the continued QE foisted on our economy by the federal reserve to save their system of elites in a bankrupt and fraudulent banking & finance system

the( normally socialist-progressive) administration needs to spread the pain & not concentrate Austerity on the now desperate middle class
(there once was --> actually a middle class sector of the nation)

lets not blame the less than asture shopping practices of the SNAP debit card holders.... we are not to blame... the elites, the Have's versus the Have Not's is being orchestrated to divert your mind and pointing the blame on the victims.......

I have to be eeeevvvvvviiiiiillllll in regards to this. If someone is going to starve to death, yes, death, because they have had their entitlements reduced by $35 to $50 dollars, then maybe that person is spending their unearned benefits unwisely.

But I also think that many programs and agencies budgets should be cut as well.

Reducing the food stamps for a few months may help more than it hurts. People may learn to shop and budget better. I don't think the reduction should go too long though. I think three months maximum.

Everyone could learn from cutting their food budget a little for a while to reduce costs. I see a lot of people taking a roast and doubling the cost of cooking it by adding all sorts of expensive rubs and marinaides to flavor it. This is not necessary, a little spices are good but too much can actually cause problems with metabolism. I still have to do a lot more research on this subject though, finding which are beneficial and which are harmful...but that is dependant on your ancestors eating habits so it is hard.

Maybe if most Americans learned to budget better we wouldn't be in this mess. Buy what you need instead of what you want. Our Government is the worst at this, they waste too much on unnecessarily high priority things.

If Bridge cards only allowed Michele Obama's healthy food school plan, they would be fine. No prepackaged food, just staples and fruits and veggies. Take a look at all the crap someone on fully loaded Bridge card buys. Not healthy purchases at all, the First lady should take up that cause.....crickets chirping.

Let's not forget the 5 million spent on crystal stemware for the State Department, during the shutdown if I remember correctly, so apparently these expensive wine glasses are 'essential'. *eyes roll out of head and across the floor*

I find it very sad that we are sending billions of dollars of aid out to foreign nations and making these ridiculous purchases in a time when the American people suffering so.
