Absolutely mind blowing claims amerge from the NSA, most whistleblowers and even officials of the NSA are coming foward to say that Obama knew allied leaders were being spied on.
But this makes you wonder, what does barry soetoro know about ufos and the aliens that the us government keeps secret.

How much more proof does anyone need to see this guy is the biggest liar in the history of the office??? I hope we make it to the end of his term, but I have doubts....

Obama knew, and KNOWS everything.

He and his staff are so paranoid and nosy and nitpicky, how could they not know.

In fact, I bet he * Ordazz * much more than he will ever admit.

I believe his title is, "Commander and Chief." Where does the buck stop with Barry Soetoro?

Every 4-8 years we hear the exact same line. I'm not a fan of Obama but dear god, it gets old.

Food for thought, in the 70's to the 90's, many allied nations asked the US to spy on their leaders for them, because they weren't allowed to. Whatever is said in public, no one really has a clue what it means…

Wow... This infighting is going to be downright entertaining to watch. They've started to turn on each other. Congress against the White House and Agencies against the White House from within the Executive Branch itself.

A well needed stir-up. Personally, I'd rather live in a place where the rules are written on the wall.

I'd have to agree with you, personally. This really has transcended party too. It's becoming more and more about the individual in the Office and a real disaster of judgement and control of everything in the Executive branch. The NSA openly going 100% against the President's own denials of having known is ..well.. staggering, to me.

I'd compare this to Nixon, but at least old 'Tricky Dick' was a leader with backbone. He was a jerk and a crook, but he didn't get walked on and absolutely didn't have people under him just running all directions and kinds of wild. I'll even grant Obama really hasn't known about much of the stuff. If that is the case, it's a stronger one for the big 'R'esign word. Take Biden with him too....

Well, as far as spying on our allies goes, he should have said something to the effect of "Hell yeah we keep track of our allies and others, all in the name of national security."
Think along the lines of a Samuel Jackson character or even SJ in the new Capitol One commercial where he says "every damn day" with that look.

Strong, forceful and not one tiny bit bashful or embarrassed.
And a look that says, "Don't mess with me"

Unfortunately, Obama has none of those qualities.

All countries spy/watch one another, regardless, that's what they do.
So why lie about it and act like 'I didn't know. Yeah I'm the leader of the most powerful nation in the world, but I don't know nuthin' about nuthin'

Spying on friendly/non friendly governments is the job description of the NSA.
As another poster said Intelligence communities are fickle fraternities that get a kick out of outsmarting each other ...all done in the typical political elite style of smiling whilst concurrently knifing you in the back.

There is corroborated evidence of UK PM Thatcher using the Canadian Spy Agencies to spy on her own cabinet members for disaffection when they were in Canada on official business in the 70's /80's.
If senior politicians are prepared to spy on friends/colleagues that they appoint then associates from other countries probably don't even register as a legislative/ honor issue.

Obama knows everyone using electrical comms is under passive surveillance (including himself) and it's all part of the fun.

No honor amongst thieves etc etc

Yes things are getting very interesting, I mean let's be realistic Obama has turned on everyone that he associated with, is it really surprising that everybodyis now turning on him, even his own party considering that democratic strategist that came out and said, " the democratic party is f****d" ( from another thread ) now even the democrats are turning on him to try to save their own buts in the coming midterm election, but I've said before that the only reason the republican party says they don't try to impeach him is because they don't have enough votes in the senate, but we will see what happens when midterm elections remove some of the democrats and replace them with republicans.

There was just an article in The Wall Street Journal about how Obama had *just* told the German Chancellor that he had no idea she had been being monitored by the N.S.A. -

My mom thought that meant Obama was incompetent, but I told her, no, he's either lying about this, or the N.S.A. and branches of the C.I.A. have been operating outside of the legal bounds of our government and our Democracy for decades, which means that it would not be something specific to Obama.

But as you can all see, Obama was lying. Was he lying to the French as well when he told them that their newspapers were over-reacting to the fact that the N.S.A. were recording up to 70 million civilian phone calls per month?

And, as someone in the newspaper mentioned, what does spying on the German Chancellor have to do with protecting our county from terrorists? Nothing!

@Juki: Yeah, you are right, even Obama is under surveillance.

@ Boncho: Yes, there is a problem when the laws are not accessible to the public, a major problem, in fact. But, as you mentioned, that's how things have been in America for at least 50 years, and that affects the rest of the world as well, because the U.S. is acting as the World Police.

Should the United States, as a world leader and proponent of Democracy, have entire factions capable of destroying nations or corporations or individuals without legal oversight? That's the question. That question is *not* going to go away.

There are arguments for both sides, the obvious one being that we shouldn't be spying on people, but the not-so-obvious one being that maybe some other faction is trying to take out our spying resources because they are about to make a major move, while they keep theirs operational.

Another question: Was Snowden working for another faction.

A very important question: Is Obama himself working for another faction, but about to be used as a scapegoat?

I could see Obama being assassinated very soon, especially if the people he works for are trying to tie up loose ends.

I hope this listen to every single Leader in the world.

That's their job. The problem is these guys are the Keystone Cops.

Note to NSA: it kind of defeats your propose to tell everyone you are spying on them.
