typically in my past experience when a thread is closed there is a post declaring such.

perhaps the reply button is broken?

It isn't closed by any staff. I just looked and the reply and quote buttons are there.

Try closing the tab your using for it and clicking on it again.

on my wifes account when i clicked reply to a specific post nothing would happen. on mine it goes to the reply page as it should and i can just delete the tags but its odd the button disappeared.

i blame MIB

Is your Firefox up to date?
Is your java and flash up to date?
Clean out your cache, if you haven't done so.

Strange, I just checked the thread and the 'new thread and reply' buttons are missing for me aswell

in fact all posts in the 'Posse Comitatus' forum are missing those buttons aswell

I'm on Chrome, and just went in and looked, and all the buttons are there for me. It may be a Firefox issue with something.

I went into four or five threads, and every one of them had all the buttons, right where they should be. Including the thread in question.

Thought I had been bad or something until I noticed other forums still had the missing buttons.

well if anyone cares here's what im seeing on chrome with the 'inspect element' window shown

I colour coded the relevant html sections so you can see something is missing.

Thread in question with missing buttons

Thread from another forum with buttons intact
