I don't understand physics completely but I think the jist of what you are saying is the premise for the hippie epiphany of what if our whole universe is one tiny atom in Gods pinky fingernail, it is the quintessential never ending discussion of does God exist, take for example one person says God created mankind , and another person says no mankind was created by the anunakki , well who created the anunakki, person two a higher form of being called the reptilians , well who created the reptilians, person two , a higher form of life called the Nordics , well who created the Nordics , person two, a higher form of life called the pledians, and so on and so on and so on til God has become such a large and advanced being that our whole universe is nothing more than a tiny atom in God's pinky fingernail. And then when the discussion gets to that level it makes it impossible for us to know God or for God to know us, think for a second, would you think twice about biting off a piece of your fingernail and spitting it out.

That's a creative and cool post thanks for putting it up.

It totally reminded me of the lore from Master of Orion.
I am pretty sure that it was the Antarans or the maybe the Orions, but I forget anyone can correct that, haha. Notice their names are myth based because everything we say and do is on Earth after all.

Tons of sci-fi universes go with these themes, like even Star Trek features an unknown lost 'seeder' civ if I recall.
There are all sorts of variations on those themes too with strange twists, like Mass Effect's story, I only played the first one though so I don't know the culmination of the plot.

It's probably a lot like all of these other mythologies though so we could probably predict what happens with decent accuracy anyway, haha!

the center of the X = 0, the very center of mass. Almost think of it like a singularity and think of those 6 lines as 3D, and it becomes the spokes of a Isocohedron

Thought we were talking about the speed of light here, not mass. The center of a grid system would be 0,0 which still has nothing to do with speed of light^2.

Would enjoy a response form the OP at some point.

I am not sure what you are asking about but it did cause me to think of an interesting way to articulate something, hopefully it's helpful.

Think of the "X" as the first two Dimensions. 2D.
The "Rotational" Dimension is the 3rd which gives us 3D.

Here is a creative way to describe it:
The Pearl / Atom / Chest contains Joules / Jewels / Souls
X Marks the "Spot" (Rotating "Dot"), etc.

"Dot your i's and Cross your t's" ?

Ok, I'll stop that, although seemingly cryptic it's actually descriptive.

Your welcome, Thank you!

I need a recharge myself.

I really didn't know that much about the symbol. I have seen it here and there but never paid it too much attention.

Soon as you had the Chi-Rho compared to the atom, I knew you had something.

So thank you for enlightenment.

Thank you Able!
I still gotta go read over your posts again in more depth, you dropped a ton of ideas and links to check out for further inspiration and research.

I can spend hours with that content seriously because some of it I am only vaguely familiar with.
I'll be needing to do some brushing up on a lot of things.
I'm no 'math' expert after all, hah!

lmao

God is so far away from what you think.

Goes for even the illuminated that have existed for millions of years

God = Word in English, usually figurative.

Means "All, Everything, Universe, Whole, Pan, etc" ?
Additional connotations "Omnipotent, Omnipresent, Omniscient, Eternal, etc" ?
Describes "Fundamental Manifesting Force or E (Energy)" ?

The "Far, Near, Here, and Nowhere." ?

Everything I can think of plus everything I cannot think of combined?

All + All that isn't + Whatever I left out?

Note: That 42 hitchhikers thing was a joke playing with 12 and 42.

The number "42" appears 54 times in this length of Pi, "12" appeared 54 times as well, 48 appeared 60 times, 3427 appeared twice, 36 appeared 44 times, 24 appeared 44 times, just some interesting stats on number appearances

So if you measure the line after you have split it. You get 3.1415.......m for ever? But how is that possible when you measure the line physically to be exactly 3.14m long from end to end?

It's absurd to me how the OP went from LI to LYRE.

He wrote LI = LIE = LIAR = LYRE. I'm really wondering how he got this.

I have a question for you.

If you have a Perfect circle With a diamiter of 1m.

If you spilt the circle and lay it out. How long would the line be?

From Your answer, would Pi have two meanings ??

You said "perfect" circle!

Yeah, you cut that circle and its game on!!

It's absurd to me how the OP went from LI to LYRE.

He wrote LI = LIE = LIAR = LYRE. I'm really wondering how he got this.

I explained it in depth in 2 prior threads (Unicorn and Neptune).

I should have said LI = LIE : LIAR = LYRE to be more proper.

LI = LIE because that's how it's pronounced, and there are many connotations.

For example, Lithium is LI, but Lilith is LI + Lith.
Lilith generally being a personification of darkness or deception in various religions.
So Li+Lith = Lying Rock

Lyre is the hidden Liar because of the Ficus lyrata.
The connection is hidden here, it's called the "Fiddle Leaf Fig", even though it's name says Lyrata (Lyre).

A fiddle is a violin but to tell someone a fiddle is a lie.
So fiddle = lyre, and fiddle = lie.

Hopefully that helps, there is plenty more to it.

So if you measure the line after you have split it. You get 3.1415.......m for ever? But how is that possible when you measure the line physically to be exactly 3.14m long from end to end?

How accurate is your ruler? To how many decimal places does it measure?

If the radius of the circle is 1m, the circumference is actually ∏/2m, so not 3.1415...m but half that, 1.5707...m.

The exact length would be greater than 1.5057 but less than 1.5058. Yes, that sentence does make sense: there is an exact length but we cannot calculate or measure it beyond a certain level of accuracy.

By the way, the uncertainty in measurement (though not in calculation) extends to all quantities, not just those including ∏.

Excellent thread, by the way. Your participation is the cherry on the cake.

That's a really interesting question. Hmmm.

How do we know it has an exact length if we cannot calculate it?

Or is it a paradox? It's exact length is inexact?

It seems directly related to the concept that 'you can divide infinite times'.
Infinite Divisibility wiki

That's a cool wiki worth skimming through.
Also check out Zeno's Paradoxes

Zeno's paradoxes are a set of philosophical problems generally thought to have been devised by Greek philosopher Zeno of Elea (ca. 490–430 BC) to support Parmenides's doctrine that contrary to the evidence of one's senses, the belief in plurality and change is mistaken, and in particular that motion is nothing but an illusion. It is usually assumed, based on Plato's Parmenides (128a-d), that Zeno took on the project of creating these paradoxes because other philosophers had created paradoxes against Parmenides's view. Thus Plato has Zeno say the purpose of the paradoxes "is to show that their hypothesis that existences are many, if properly followed up, leads to still more absurd results than the hypothesis that they are one." (Parmenides 128d). Plato has Socrates claim that Zeno and Parmenides were essentially arguing exactly the same point (Parmenides 128a-b).

"Achilles and the Tortoise"
In a race, the quickest runner can never overtake the slowest, since the pursuer must first reach the point whence the pursued started, so that the slower must always hold a lead. – as recounted by Aristotle, Physics VI:9, 239b15

Dichotomy paradox
That which is in locomotion must arrive at the half-way stage before it arrives at the goal.– as recounted by Aristotle, Physics VI:9, 239b10

Suppose Homer wants to catch a stationary bus. Before he can get there, he must get halfway there. Before he can get halfway there, he must get a quarter of the way there. Before traveling a quarter, he must travel one-eighth; before an eighth, one-sixteenth; and so on.

This one's really cool too:

Arrow paradox
If everything when it occupies an equal space is at rest, and if that which is in locomotion is always occupying such a space at any moment, the flying arrow is therefore motionless.[11] – as recounted by Aristotle, Physics VI:9, 239b5

In the arrow paradox (also known as the fletcher's paradox), Zeno states that for motion to occur, an object must change the position which it occupies. He gives an example of an arrow in flight. He states that in any one (durationless) instant of time, the arrow is neither moving to where it is, nor to where it is not.[12] It cannot move to where it is not, because no time elapses for it to move there; it cannot move to where it is, because it is already there. In other words, at every instant of time there is no motion occurring. If everything is motionless at every instant, and time is entirely composed of instants, then motion is impossible.

The wiki continues with a lot more.
There are a ton of additional links at the bottom of those pages for anyone who is interested.

I found this one pretty funny :
Salami Slicing

Salami slicing refers to a series of many small actions, often performed by clandestine means, that as an accumulated whole produces a much larger action or result that would be difficult or unlawful to perform all at once.

An example of salami slicing, also known as penny shaving, is the fraudulent practice of stealing money repeatedly in extremely small quantities, usually by taking advantage of rounding to the nearest cent (or other monetary unit) in financial transactions.

In information security, a salami attack is a series of minor attacks that together results in a larger attack. Computers are ideally suited to automating this type of attack.

In politics, the term salami tactics has been used since the 1940s to refer to a divide and conquer process of threats and alliances used to overcome opposition.

How do we know it has an exact length if we cannot calculate it?

We can see it for ourselves. Besides, logical induction tells us that since all objects have a definite extension in space, the cord from which we made our circle, which appears no different from other lengths of cord, must have one too.

But in another sense there is no such thing as exact length. Apparently stable objects are actually changing shape and size subtly all the time. Heat a metal rod: it will expand. Cool it: it will shrink. On a more fundamental level the subatomic components of atoms — even the atoms themselves, in molecular arrangements — exist in quantum superposition, which means they are constantly changing 'shape' and therefore, presumably, length.

Zeno's paradox, while fascinating, is easily disproved. The solution is precisely the reason that all measurements are inexact; it is impossible to measure any distance with total accuracy. It follows that you cannot keep subdividing the distance between the runner and the wall indefinitely. At some point you will reach a distance that is impossible to measure because it is smaller than the error margin of your ruler. When that happens the runner has hit the wall.

edit on 9/10/13 by Astyanax because: an error margin.

With a circumference of a radious of 1m. You have to double the length.
With a radius of 1m you should get something like 6,28.......m.

Half circumference of 1m radius = 3.1415.........m
