ATS down for at least 4 hrs today

I was having trouble getting back on ATS last night and my TV was shutting down ever few minutes just kept going black screen and no channels would come on

this means that your on a repeater. If it said no signal it would mean there is something up with the repeater. causes could be weather.

This happens all the time where I live.

Same here. I also checked isitdown as well, and lo and behold, it was. I was a little concerned, but I figured it was probably a gremlin left over from the change over, or an overloaded system due to all the US centric posters trying to out BS one another about the reasons for the government shutdown in the states.

I was up at 5 am and it was down then. I wasn't able to get access to the sight until about 9 am . So it was another DDOS attack eh. I am greatly curious as to why ATS is a target. Question everything.

Those Syrians are just like anonymous. they even hit people who support them. ATS is a western owned site to the syrians and they hate all western owned things. So thos edooshbags hit it with a DDOS attack. Now it be nice if we could all spike all those jerkoffs computers and fry their hard drives but that would be cyber terrorism then woudnt it?

The Syrian Electronic Army stated that they had nothing to do with the video and etc over a month ago. If it was down at 21:59 Pacific and it was related to the SEA spoof, then your "SEA" is likely to be located somewhere in the Central time zone. Had no clue that the Syrian Electronic Army was operating out of the Midwest.

In the video, it looked like a teen aged 17-19 with a really crappy accent. Probably a dumb kid screwing around.

ATS was down for over 4 hours for me today (im in the uk) , downforeveryoneorjustme.com confirmed it. I was starting to think it had something to do with the US government shutdown

Yes, I'm also in the UK and couldn't get onto ATS for several hours today ... likewise I also wondered if it was connected to the US government being down.

Made me realize how addicted to ATS I am as the sense of relief when I could finally get on here was overwhelming

well it is one hell of a coincidence that it shuts down when the other government run websites shut down.

That sounds horrible, glad you got on and hopefully it was just a small hindrance.

Of course all the rave was to jump on the owners , yep kick em when they are down. I think this looked like a set up against them. Like all the websites saying that are not being watched too. Sheeze, NSA is the Interwebs! no forum is excluded.

I don't blame the owners,i know it is not their fault i just find it strange that it says on my internet status that i have no internet access but i do,maybe it has to do with my provider i will check it out

Bad timing for the site shut down, all the nut cakes are coming outta the woodwork..

Just for the record I was in the chat room til 1am or so est, watching the baseball game highlights goofing with other members, so that should dismantle the government conspiracy.. Ahem... Since you know the chat is on the same server ahem....

I tried for several hours early this morning to get on and nada, I thought it was me. I am so relieved we are back up and running. I have a serious addiction, very upsetting to not be able to come here.

I couldn't get my tabloid fix with breakfast. I thought my husband blocked it from the computer. Ha!

My understanding is five conspiracy sites all went down at the same time.
I'm not sure which ones. ATS was the only one that I am a member to be affected.
