US Orders Diplomats out of Lebanon

The State Department on Friday ordered nonessential American diplomats and the families of staffers at the U.S. Embassy in Beirut to leave Lebanon immediately due to security concerns as the Obama administration and Congress debate military strikes on neighboring Syria.

In a new travel warning for Lebanon, the department said it had instructed nonessential staffers to leave Beirut and urged private American citizens to depart the country "due to threats to U.S. mission facilities and personnel. "

"The situation remains tense, and sporadic violence involving Hezbollah or other extremist or criminal organizations remains a possibility in many areas of the country," it said

The article goes on to say that approximately 150 protestors are gathering around the U.S. embassy in defiance of possible military action as a result of the use of chemical weapons. So far there has not been any violence.

To be expected. Rile them up and put Americans and others at risk all because couldn't figure this out quietly. Had to be a big production for all the globe to see because of course pride comes before the safety of people.

The threat of further terror spreading (justified or not), only creates more panic and a harder push back.

I just posted to make sure the source is legit but there is also a threat from Iran to kidnap, torture, and rape Americans (including targeting Obama's family) if we should attack family. If true - he has protection. Those abroad do not.

Did I just read something that Russia would retaliate if there is a military attack on Syria? This is really going to be a chess game with the Russians.
