Government reaffirms it will sell Plum Island

Looks like this may be an interesting "real estate" story to follow.
Controvery, mystery, legend and hearsay surround this particular island,
some have claimed this may have been the source of unique oddities such as
the Montauk Monster and other possible hybrid creatures.

PLUM ISLAND - (AP) The federal government has reaffirmed it plans to sell Plum Island, finalizing the environmental review of the animal disease research site off Long Island, even though environmental regulators and some lawmakers say there's not enough information about the effects of selling it.

I wouldn't be buying Plum Island ... not to live on anyways. God only knows what chemicals and other stuff is in the ground out there. Sure .. it would be interesting to go exploring in. But I'm sure the gov't scrubbed all the classified stuff ... and probably left toxins ....

Plum Island? Who would want it?

Granted it is a good location but the downside is......as down as it gets.
