Alas, you have witnessed the rise of the phoenix.


The rumours of my absence have been somewhat exagerated.

I was not doing light mercenary work in south africa with my dear friend VVV.

I was not in prison, ( not sure which geezer fabricated that one )

I was not sold into sex slavery ( still debatable)

I was not driven off a bridge by a psychotic girlfriend, having major plastic surgery, ... then being cryogenicaly placed in a sleep state to be awakened in the future.

I was not living with a tribe of nomadic deer herder's.

I did not fish for crab in alaska.

I was not involved in any time travel experimentation at vandenberg air force base hurtling me almost a year into the future with little, to no clue as to who I was.


...... So, where was I ???


while although those scenario's prove to be more fantastical than the truth, .... life, in it's own way can be an amazing thing. i have a one year old son now, who gets smarter by the day, I have a new job, and in some ways, am a different person entirely.

So where was I ??? Living my friends.


and I wonder, are there any left of the old guard ?? any of my old comrades, lurking in the shadow ?


... remembering what was, and wondering what could be ?

welcome back and congrats on the new changes.

I think you will find ATS a far more" complex" place than you left it.

Most of the threads and posts have remained pretty much the same. Same repetitive drivel over hashed and dragged out. Same racist ideologies undertones covered over with creative writing and self justification. Same self promoting posturing.. Yes sir not much has and will change here or anywhere else for that matter. The more things change the more they stay the same. Its only those of us that have been here long enough to recognize the pattern will pick up on it.

But it is still a great place for a laugh
