So with tensions already a peak levels with issues in Syria and US, UK an French join military intervention on the way can only cause upset with the allies of Syria.

The most perceived threat is retaliation if a go ahead is agreed is Russia and Iran being that they have strong ties with the Syrian government.

We know that US, Iranian and Russian relations are no so good.

So what will be the pre-war senario

Russia sends more missiles and navy presence to the region.
Responds to US-UK-FR attack by actively supporting direct Syrian retaliation against the fleet and their air support. Primary mission being to sink or severly damage the partaking a/c carriers.
Send ground troops to Syria to support Assad's regime.
Escalate to the brink of a outright war. Neither US, UK or FR has economy to sustain yet another war, while Russia can pump in unlimited funds (in comparison to the adversaries).
Russia to work with Turks to get their support, and diplomatic assistance to form a pact with Iran.
Move Russian-Chinese peace keepers to the region to disarm rebels and terrorists.

... any of the above, and things will calm down to business as usual, and focus is more in fighting the actual terrorism.

The Turks along with Arabs State have been pushing the West to act on Syria for over a year. Russai will do nothing because they can not do anything. Iran is in the same boat. China does not even pretend to care anymore.
