So my question to ATS'ers :

what scares you more... is it terrorists, or radiation from the fukushima disaster ?

I want to attempt a poll of some sort and would appreciate thoughts.

which is more harmful... what are the long lasting effects of both...

Im just a little shaken up by fukushima , with all the lies and what not told...

but in my honesty.... radiation is far deadlier and needs more attention than terrorist acts...

But the other question ... why is japan not doing all it can... and how can we all do our part in helping rectify the issue at hand.

What scares me more ... the human stupidity which is the common ingredient in both of those.
Stupidity ... terrorists mass murdering innocent people in the name of their version of God.
Stupidity ... building nuclear reactors on fault lines which will effect the whole world when the inevitable meltdown comes.

Stupid. Stupid Stupid.

Sorry but i quit watching tv a long time ago and i don't take ats members threads or posts that seriously as well.


I don't worry about what the news thinks or what most atsers think....they don't think often enough for it to be a valid concern to me in reality.

I live less than 20 miles from possible the largest nuclear dump...sorry...reprocessing plant in the world that consistently has leaks and other incidents.

They want to bury ALL the UK nuclear waste under my feet because a lot of it is already here.

They want to frack here too, where there is countless mineshafts, fault lines and other geological issues....

Fukushima is far from my thoughts, lol.

Personally, I think the world will step in before it gets too late over there.

Wow, so that WAS the secret ingredient! I stopped watching TV years ago as well and now try to be productive (while drinking beer) in the evenings where I would have normally been stolen by the soul killing box (while drinking beer).

There may have been some additional lubricating catalysts to get me back to remembering who I was in youth (ie. erasing all of the damage that had led me to be one of the angry souls, hating all others, for reasons I still have yet to explain. Patience and understanding have flowed fully back into my being...

Sure, I'll have 'moments', but no longer do I care that a car in front of me is going under the speed limit by a few mph.

Fear and anger, fear and anger.... it blinds us all and lets the future play out as planned.

Our government officials scare me more than terrorists or the Fukushima disaster.

Radiation from Fukushima. GMO. BP. Tyranny. Banking Corruption. High Rent and Payments for homes. Lack of Land and Resources for all people. Slavery. That is far worse than death even to endure these things and no one wakes up.

I'm casting a dubious glance at the embassy closings and dribbles of info, so I'd have to say: Fukushima.

Personally I have more immediate catastrophes looming over me. Like four bald tires and a serious engine knock.

Oil companies and banks are the biggest terrorists and should be treated as such. One way to help defeat them is with cheap nuclear energy, which is perfecly possible. Cheap energy means you have more money in your pocket and don't have to go begging to the banks for more money to get you through the month.

No wonder the oil corporations are buying up nuclear plants and running them into the ground or sabotaging them to stoke public fear. How come France hasn't had any major problems? Oh, it's owned mostly by the people, maybe that tells you something.

I fear the fact that I love seafood!

Fukushima but that's tied with the above answers of stupid people and the government. Maybe Fukushima even gets knocked down a notch since the earth will correct herself one day (with our offspring on down the line possibly mutating to evolve). We at least know the damage this can do but with stupid people in powerful positions; the "greatest minds" its a free for all with how much damage they can cause (terrorism in and of itself).

Neither scare me very much. If they scare you then you scare very easily.

What does scare me? Car accidents. Heart Disease. Cancer. Getting assaulted when I get drunk tonight. Not that any of these will stop me from driving a car or going to a bar.


What people are typically afraid of is vastly different to what will actually kill them.
