im talking about BOTH GENDERS .. im talking about the preconvieved notions that porn inflicks on our youth that we as parents cant control.

for example young men have it in their heads that all women reach an orgasm every time sex happens which is simply not true . it gives preformence anxeity and lessons their worthlessor inflates their egos big time to the point that no real woman is good enough for them unless shes a size 0 and does everything that happens in those misguided show cases ..

parents can nott watch their teenagers 247 due to jobs housework etc.. and teenagers do lie about their age in order to watch this stuff.. especially the boys ...

it also aids in rape on a mass scale .. so hence i rest my case

iv spoken to young men about this subject and to find out that what their expecting is not what their going to get in the bedroom because a lot of women have different views on whats right and wrong in the bedroom .. id like to pat the guy on the back for this ..

I bet you would. A load of responsibility off your back eh? Now your parenting job is so much easier.

Hell, lets make it illegal. Throw the perverts in jail, I mean, it's dirty and rude. And only sickos look at it.

Screw being a parent, you did a good enough job squirting them out in the first place. Now it's up to the PM of your country to make sure they are raised good and proper... no porn on my watch!

Or phone, ipod, tablet, desktop, xbox, telly, magazine, tv, video or radio. None - Of - This.

Why, unless you ensure there is a law to raise your kids, your kids will be corrupted by all sorts of things. Who will look out for them if not the prime minister.

Every household in the UK is to have pornography blocked by their internet provider [color=gold] unless they choose to receive it, David Cameron is to announce.

The opening post is like one sentence long.
And yet most of the responses are acting like...

You know what, never mind.

Mike

Interesting to note you think this makes it ok.

I don't get it??? If everyone who is opposed to this is so upset because they don't want anyone to KNOW they are watching it, or if men don't want their wives to know they are watching it...then it would cause me to draw the conclusion there is something really WRONG with it...right?

If there is something really wrong with it, then I would think that it's best for the entire population to definitely do all that is humanly possible to protect ourselves and our children from it...right? No one should be subjected to porn in their face, if they don't want it there, simply because they typed something in the search field that caused something totally OPPOSITE of what they are looking for to pop up!!

If you want it, then OPT for it, without shame.... if there is nothing wrong with it, right?

"Online pornography to be blocked by default"

What the same way they tried to block TPB??? So you will need to click 2 twice instead of once! LoL

It wont work im afraid, there is as much chance of "them" blocking pornography as there is Torrent sites.

FREEDOM!!! LEAVE OUR NET ALONE!!!

OK, lets look at it this way. How many people are going to start raising hell when they can't get to say ATS? Don't think it will be blocked? Are you sure? How will they be blocking porn and only porn? I wonder if it will work as well as the block on my work computer - that blocks me out of legit sights ALL THE TIME. I then have to report it and wait for "someone" to press the magic button. At work our firewall uses many different things to catch web sites: address, site content, and site descriptions- but it still doesn't work well.
Yeah, that's how I want to live. Sorry but I think I can monitor my own children, thank you very much.

Better make it a shandy. We don't want to make people scared of the beer drinkers. You know, they're only one sip away from becoming rampaging uncontrollable rapist porno-swinging drunkards!

* Does anyone else think that it's rather hilarious that by blocking dedicated xxx websites, they somehow think that it will eradicate google images returning explicit images? Do these people even use the internet and have a clue or are they simply 404'd in the logic department?*

So instead of doing a proper job of being a parent you want the government to take on that responsibility....

Ah the whole thing is messed up.

You can make your own adult video legally at 16 in the UK, but it illegal to watch it until you're 18.

They can breath chemical weapons in at 17 by going to war, but they cant buy cigarettes.

Go figure

I don't think it's fair to say someone is not being a proper parent because they don't want to worry about porn being available to their household, just because they have internet access.
I didn't even allow internet in my home for my teenagers, they didn't need it and therefore I didn't have to worry about it. Did that stop the porn industry from somehow reaching my teenage son's??? I doubt it, very seriously... It would be nice if there just wasn't a demand for the porn industry out there, then there would be no porn to worry about and we could all just have internet without fear of it.

Personally I just don't get Porn, sorry.... but then again I don't get people who watch T.V. constantly either. It just never makes sense to me to be watching people doing all kinds of fun and exciting stuff, instead of actually getting up and out there and just doing fun and exciting stuff myself!!! I do love my internet though, but for reading and chatting with folks like all my ATS pals

This will be quietly dropped before implementation when the professionals that actually work at the ISP's inform our illustrious leader it is utterly unworkable. It would take a tech savvy teenager literally minutes to get around this "filter." And if they personally don't know how to do it I guarantee they have a friend that does!

Nope, this is some sound bite policy for the hand wringing classes that can't be bothered to supervise their own kids so expect big uncle Dave to step in and do it for them.

Finally, the Chinese have one of (if not THE) most sophisticated filtering systems in existence. Now ask any business traveller that regularly travels to China what he has on that thumb drive in his carry on luggage? The world's most sophisticated filter is circumvented by a piece of free software and a £5 thumbdrive.

So Iam being victimised because parents are to stupid to set up decent blockers on their PC?
Should be an OPT out system.
How many poor fathers who try and sneak a quick look at some girls will now be unable to because they don't want their wife knowing?
BS absolute BS.

Hear, here!

I watch two or three odd TONNES of porn movies and has anything blown up my head? KNOW! Stupidity is anyone listening?

KNOW!

"I don't think it's fair to say someone is not being a proper parent because they don't want to worry about porn being available to their household"

Why not when its easy enough to use a filter these days!

Maybe if they don't want the systems in there house hold to be used for what they consider nefarious activities then they should not have them in the first place!

People and parents should police there own domain, not try to get others to do there job for them in my opinion!

Ministers have secretly urged internet giants to pretend they are blocking online porn – so that David Cameron can declare a ‘victory’ on the issue. A leaked letter from the Department for Education asks the main internet service providers (ISPs) to rebrand their anti-porn filters as being ‘default-on’, giving the impression that adult material is automatically blocked. Mission creep.

How the government defines "porn" today is one thing, but when the filter is implimented, then you can be guaranteed that all sorts of interest groups are going to start lobbying for just that little extra thing to be added to the filter.
And then just a little bit more...
And then just a little bit more...
and so on, forever...
